We had a previous e-collar for my dog. Here are all the things I appreciate about this collar in comparison:
Pros/nice-to-haves:
– loud beep/sound: Other than recalling my dog when he’s off leash, I occasionally use the noise or vibrate to get my dog to come home when he plants his butt outside. I like that I can hear when it goes off too. There are other tones that differ in volume and melody, which I also like because if my dog gets used to one tone and starts ignoring it, I know that switching it to something new will work again. There are also quieter tones.
– Bright colour (orange): my dog has long black fur around his neck, so having a bright orange colour helps it stand out on his neck instead of getting buried. I can see it for easy access. Reflective strips are also a bonus.
– Easy to take on and off: it’s a simple clip buckle that allows the collar to go on quickly and you can take it off with one hand. My previous e-collar had notches like a belt/watch that was getting annoying to take on and off time and time again
– Long battery life/active time: I haven’t had to charge the remote or receivers yet for a little over two weeks since the initial charge. The two hours before standby time feature is great. My previous e-collar seemed to have a short time until it shut off completely, but now I know the collar is ready for each hour-long walk and I don’t need to keep turning it on and off again.
– Shock mode really is designed as a last resort: the remote has a slider to switch between off/shock/no-shock mode. Since the no-shock mode is all the way at the end, it’s easy to slide right up to, gliding right past shock mode, and you need to actively slide to shock mode. This is good because it would be very difficult to accidentally go on shock mode. I leave the remote in my pocket during the walk and I can slide the remote into the no-shock mode with confidence and without even needing to look at the remote, which leads to the next pro.
– Textured/clearly spaced buttons: I can easily feel for the sound or vibrate buttons without even looking at the remote.
– Two-pack of receivers is convenient: this is great if you have two dogs or aren’t on top of charging! I am in the latter camp. Since there isn’t a battery level indicator on the collars themselves, I foresee myself running into the issue where I’ll be on a walk, trying to use the collar, only to find out it’s out of charge. With two collars, I can easily swap them out before the walk. Both collars can be paired to one channel to make this easy.
– Shock tester included: there’s a plastic piece with a light included so that you can test that the shock function really works (in case you don’t want to test it on yourself).
– Easily adjustable to dog: you just need to slide the collar belt to customize length precisely.
– light: there’s a light with two modes. Good for night time walks and if I want to locate my dog in the dark backyard.
– LCD screen: very easy to read. The LCD makes it feel high-tech too
Cons/user error/minor inconveniences:
– Adjusting knob is a bit unintuitive: you need to press the mode (vibrate/beep/shock) and then press the knob at the top and then turn the knob. It’s probably just me, but I always need to turn the knob both ways to see which way actually works. This is only a minor inconvenience since I’m not going to be changing the modes much.
– Control got a little dirty: since I put the receiver in my pocket, some of the dye rubbed off on my pants onto the orange plastic part.
– The power button location: I usually put the collar on my dog’s neck before I remember to turn it on. Then, I need to feel for it a bit because the power button isn’t in a central location and has the same material as the flap covering the charging port. It’s also slightly underneath one of the prongs, adding to the difficulty. Only takes a couple of seconds to turn it on though.
None of these inconveniences are worth knocking a star off and I’m overall really happy with the product as it helps me handle my dog perfectly.

This is the second shock vibrate collar I’ve used, and I got this one because I don’t use the shock function, and this one has a physical slider to lock out the shock function which is exactly what I was looking for.
I just used this at my cottage for my German Shepherd, she roams free 90% of the time, and being a shepherd tends to hang around, but her nose and ears and love of people does make her wander sometimes. She always comes back, but this was an amazing little tool to be able to beep her from a good distance away, as she now knows beep means treat! The 1-8 levels of beeps aren’t volumes they are individual beep/chirp patterns, some a little more stern sounding and others a more polite sounding which is great, none are all that annoying. I chose the least noticeable, most pleasant sounding one because I just use it as a reminder to return in times of need when she’s wandering a little. She’s generally within 150 feet, so I can’t speak to the max distance. The vibrate is great to have and does work when I need to divert her attention or get her attention quickly or if she is fixated.
She swam with it and it still works great.
One of the best things, also because I am at my cottage with her a lot and in dark areas, it has a green light that flashes every once in a while, but it also has a full white light that you can turn on and off by remote, which was great at night around the campfire to see where she’s sitting behind us or if she’s walked away into the forest a few feet just by turning the light on and seeing where she is, super super handy feature.
The collar itself and receiver are both really nice quality and not gawdy or obtrusive, the fact that it comes with two is nice. The remote is solid feeling, fits in the hand nicely and the buttons are easy to find when needed, with the shock lockout being the best part. It’s easy to switch collars, and levels on the remote, and it has a nice little screen that gives all the info you need.
Couldn’t ask for a better system – highly recommend this one.

As owners of two incredibly energetic beagles, we know the struggle of a dog “zoning in” on a scent and becoming completely deaf to commands. Training collars are an absolute must for us, especially with our pups roaming freely on our property, to ensure their safety and prevent any tragic dashes toward the road. We’ve cycled through many collars over the years, but the SLOPEHILL Dog Training Collars have truly impressed us, ticking almost all the boxes on our checklist for effective training tools.
Here’s what makes them stand out:
Exceptional Range: While I can’t definitively confirm the full 4200ft range, these collars offer incredible reach. When our girls wander towards the back of our property near the forest, a simple beep or vibration instantly gets their attention, allowing for quick recall.
Customizable Settings: We love the flexibility! The vibration strength can be adjusted individually for each collar, and there are several distinct tones to choose from. A huge plus for us is the adjustable shock intensity; since our dogs respond differently, this feature is crucial for effective correction when needed.
Handy Lights (with a Minor Inconvenience): The built-in lights are a great addition for evening use. While I wish they could stay on continuously until manually turned off, they do remain illuminated long enough for us to easily spot our beagles in the dark.
The Game-Changing “No-Shock” Mode: This feature has quickly become a non-negotiable for us. It allows you to seamlessly switch between beep and vibration modes without any risk of accidentally delivering a static correction. No more worrying about a misplaced button press or an accidental zap from a remote in your pocket! And for emergencies, it’s easy to disengage this mode to access the static correction.
Functionality-wise, these collars are fantastic. Our only minor annoyance is the placement of the light button; we often find ourselves accidentally pressing it when switching between dogs, as it’s right where we naturally grip the remote for leverage. It’s a small detail, but worth mentioning.
Convenience and Thoughtful Extras:
Both the collars and the remote charge effortlessly with a dual USB-C cable, which is incredibly convenient. Their battery life is also impressive; since we received them a month ago, we’ve only had to charge them once, though we only use them when the dogs are outside. We suspect the collars go into a dormant mode when not being worn, which likely contributes to their long-lasting charge. Adjusting the collars to fit our beagles was also a breeze, a quick snip of the excess strap and a melted edge prevented any fraying. Plus, the kit came with multiple sets of rubber ends for the static correction prongs, along with a few replacement prongs, showing great attention to detail.
All in all, for the price (for two collars) and the features you get, these SLOPEHILL Dog Training Collars are a fantastic value. The “No-Shock” mode, in particular, makes them an absolute standout and a feature we now consider essential. These collars are truly close to perfect for our training needs, and we’d highly recommend them to any dog owner!

We’ve used this for about a month and like it so much better than a different brand we previously had. We use this as a training tool for our 7 mos old puppy. We like that the vibration can be set to a level strong enough to get her attention, and the same with the tone. We’ve never had to use the shock. We also like that the on/off switch can be easily set to lock out shock so we don’t shock her by accidentally tapping the shock button. The previous brand we used had none of these benefits. There will be a day when our pup won’t need this collar but for now it’s exactly what we need.

This product works as described. I like that the switch for shocking can be turned off and not easy to shock by mistake as i won’t use the shock on my dog. I found it you train just to sound and vibrate it works very effectively. My previous dog and current are both stubborn to recall outside. 1st I use vibrate which works 98% of the time , the odd time I will switch to the sound. If you choose to use shock rather than use the tester you may wish to test to see exactly what your dog will be feeling, start low..I just feel if you have to shave hair etc. maybe try something else if possible. My dog has double coat of curly hair and has no problem feeling the vibration at all. My dog is relatively small at 11 pounds and this fits well once sized. I also dont size it so its tight as its not necessary for my dog..he can also hear the vibration so the prongs dont need to go through his hair onto his neck tightly. So if you are going to size dont cut it too short before determining which length will work best for your pet.

You can adjust the settings so the shock is light or stronger depending on the size of the dog (or how bad the problem). I tried this on vibrate with no shock only once and now I just have to hold the remote to get my dog to stop barking. Its adjustable, easy to use, and works really well.

4 Stars right now; I’ve only had the product a few days. I’ll be back to update it in a month or so.
Initial impression: It’s a good product. Everything has worked as presented. Instruction manual is pretty good – there are a few places that could use some fixing but, you can figure out what is being communicated. Switching between collars is easy using the slide switch. Changing to the desired collar is almost instantaneous. Each collar can have the Tone/Vibrate/Shock preset to whatever levels you want. Adjusting is easy but not necessarily quick but, the process is effective overall. I really like the Shock Lock so you can’t accidentally use it.
I really like the two collars as I have two “wild animals” aka Welsh Terriers. Very high energy, very smart, very stubborn. One is a 5 1/2 yr. old female and the other a male puppy at 14 months. He has an issue with resource guarding: shows teeth, growls, sometimes a little nip; he also wants to attack anyone near his crate after he excitedly jumps in to go to bed – go figure; he growls when you want to pickup his empty dish after eating.
I used the shock (on 3) twice: once to stop the growling/attacking from inside his crate and once to get him to give something he stole; intensity 1 and 2 were ignored; Vibrate and Tone were “laughed” at. The crate issue now only requires an occasional buzz on three or four and the “stop” command to end the problem, when it occurs. Good! Getting him to give something took a Shock on 3 tonight to get what he stole. That too is progress – it used to be a real fight.
You should charge the receivers over night otherwise, depending on frequency of use, you may not have it when you need it. The Tone function for my dogs is just OK, maybe better for others. I have used this device on a walk with my puppy and the tone/buzz caused him to refocus and he began to heel better than ever. I will be trying it when he sees other dogs and turns into a shrew.
Make a plan as to how you will use this – it can be abused. It should not be used to make your dog stop something without you being immediately ready to praise and reward the correct behavior. I noticed my puppy trying to run away, which I don’t want, and so I quickly praised him and gave him love to let him know it’s OK. If you do this right, you can begin to use just verbal commands and get the behavior you want. Yelling “no” at everything they do or don’t do, just confuses them.
Last, for my dogs, I try to hide the remote from view because, as I said, they are very smart – then can figure it out where the correction is coming from and can either run away when you pick it up; stop what they are doing until you put it down, then start again. Or, they can run from you when you want to put on their collar. Good luck.

I saw this new version of training collar and had to try it out. I have had the previous version and was very happy with so I wanted to see if this was better. There have been a few upgrades and a change I would not have made. The light has been moved to the front of the unit so it is MUCH easier to see it. The beep is much louder and changes patterns, so it’s easier to hear. The vibration is stronger as well. All of those changes are very very good!
The one I don’t like so much is the power level adjustment. Before it was two button, up and down. Very easy to understand and adjust. The new version is a dial. You’d think that should be easy. But you press it down to change function. So you push down until you find the function you want to adjust, while it is in the down position you turn it up or down. If you don’t get it dialed to where you want it and have to lift your finger off, you have to push thru all the functions again to get to the right one. Now the vibrate and beep are easy, only 8 positions. The shock is 1-100. That takes at least 5 turns to get it to 100 from 0. That means lifting off the button going thru the functions and turning it again and repeat until your desired level. Not a good design feature.
Overall I still say it’s a much improved version and I would gladly tell others about it.
Happy training!!

Works great! My dog seemed to instinctively respond to the recall beeper. She runs to me as soon as she hears it. The flashlight feature is pretty cool as well. The collar has a flashlight that you can turn on for night walks.

As an Amazon Vine Program member, I tested the SLOPEHILL Dog Training Collar and found it to be a solid, high-quality tool for dog owners who need reliable training assistance.
Build Quality
The collars feel very well made—sturdy materials, solid construction, and a professional finish. Both the receiver and remote feel durable enough to withstand outdoor use, and the IP68 waterproof rating ensures it can be worn during play, swimming, or walks in the rain without worry.
Training Modes & Flexibility
What I appreciate most is the variety of modes: Beep, Vibration, Safe Shock, Flash Light, and No-Shock. This versatility means you can choose the most appropriate and humane method depending on your dog’s size and temperament. For smaller dogs, I rely mainly on beep or vibration. The shock function is strong and better suited for medium or large breeds, but it’s adjustable from 0–99 levels so you can fine-tune the intensity carefully.
Ease of Use
The remote range of 4200ft gives me plenty of control during off-leash training in the park or backyard. The dual-channel feature is great for households with multiple dogs—you can easily switch between collars and train two dogs simultaneously.
Extra Features
The built-in flashlight with solid and flashing modes is a thoughtful safety feature for night walks or camping. It makes it much easier to keep track of dogs in the dark.
Effectiveness
With consistent use, the collars have proven effective in curbing unwanted behaviors and reinforcing basic commands. They respond quickly, and the variety of modes ensures I can train in a way that is safe and suited to each individual dog.
Conclusion
The SLOPEHILL Dog Training Collar is a well-designed, durable, and highly functional training system. It offers a good balance of control, safety, and effectiveness for owners of medium and large dogs, while also providing non-shock training options for smaller breeds.
