Integrity is fading –
In retrospect, my decision to acquire this product after a decade of contemplation appears both judicious and long overdue. Initially deterred by what I perceived as a steep price point of $75 upon its initial release, circumstances have evolved, leading to a reassessment of its value, which we paid $28.98. With the addition of three feline companions and the unforeseen acquisition of a dog, previously regarded as an inheritance, our household dynamics prompted a reconsideration of this investment.
The catalyst for our purchase was our newfound reliance on the TSC Dog Bathing Station at our Tractor Supply Store, where the convenience of a $10 dog bath, devoid of the complications associated with home bathing, became increasingly apparent. The avoidance of bathroom-related chaos and the elimination of persistent cleaning endeavors {cleaning afterward -including the ceiling when they shake off water and through out the house as they dry- because they provide towels for drying your pet and they have a dryer there} and the circumvention of the need for multiple towel washes to eradicate dog-related odors all contributed to the tangible value of this innovative product which they provide for customers to use for free and see how valuable the Furminator is.
In light of our experiences, I unequivocally endorse this product, recognizing its remarkable efficacy in enhancing the well-being of our pets. The transformative impact on their disposition became palpable as the product effortlessly addressed the accumulation of dead, soiled, and burdensome fur. Witnessing the discernible improvement in our pets’ happiness serves as a testament to the undeniable benefits conferred by this exceptional product.
DO NOT FORGET TO BUY THE FURminator NAIL CLIPPERS TOO!! “Indispensable FURminator Nail Clippers”
In addition to the stellar performance of the FURminator Deshedding tool, a noteworthy addition to our pet care arsenal is the FURminator toe nail clippers. Having expended over $200 across sixteen years in pursuit of an effective solution for nail trimming, our search culminated in the unparalleled efficacy of the FURminator pair—a sentiment equally applicable to both canine and feline companions.
The decision to explore the FURminator nail clippers was serendipitous, motivated by a moment of curiosity during the acquisition of the FURminator for fur maintenance. Priced at a modest $8.95 on Amazon, my initial skepticism was swiftly dispelled upon utilization. This impromptu investment emerged as the epitome of judicious decision-making, surpassing the performance of previous acquisitions with unparalleled precision and efficiency.
Conclusively, the inclusion of the FURminator nail clippers has fortified our pet care routine, complementing the transformative effects. This inadvertent discovery serves as a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality and reinforces our unwavering endorsement of FURminator products for comprehensive and superior pet grooming.

Life Changing!
The Furminator is hands-down the best grooming tool I’ve ever used. After just one session, I noticed a huge reduction in loose hair around the house. My dog actually enjoys it—he loves the feel of the tool as it gently removes the undercoat and gives his skin a little massage. It’s quick, easy, and incredibly effective. Highly recommend for anyone with a shedding pup!
Plus, i’m a clean freak about hair on the floors. And just in a few hours I noticed such a difference. What a game changer. Great product.

We adopted a rescue puppy this summer who has grown a very short but wiry coat that sheds pretty bad- I find hair on our clothes, couch throws, her bedding, the floor, you name it. I read about this product in search for some sort of solution- I know that nothing will totally rid the house of shedding dog hair but I was hoping to at least find something to cut it wayyy back. The Furminator does exactly that- I bought the the mid-size (orange) one for short hair dogs on black Friday and have used it almost every morning since. WOW- what a huge improvement I’ve noticed EVERYWHERE. Less hair on our clothes, the floor, etc. We crate her every night and in the morning as I take her out I grab her Furminator and a regular brush. After she potties and we walk a bit I carefully run this over as much of her hair as I can, concentrating on the thickest parts on her lower back and behind her head (it’s just bushier in those areas). You can’t press down super hard or it will hurt and most likely cut the skin, but you want to use a steady hand and enough pressure (medium pressure?) to grab hair. Even though her hair is short, it definitely grabs the loose hair that would be falling out inside my house! Sometimes a lot comes off of her, sometimes not as much- but it always grabs something. After I finish Furminating her, I use the regular brush on her all over to remove even more and smooth her all out. At first our pup really hated it, and hated being brushed, but she’s grown more calm and patient and will mostly sit still until she’s just had enough and lets me know. You definitely want to use this outside- YIKES the hair you remove will be in your house if you don’t. I can see it blowing into the air when I’m outside using it. For those of you tempted to buy the largest size (blue) even though your dog isn’t super big, I struggled with that myself. Our dog is 23 pounds and not very big- but she’s super muscular and SOLID. I considered getting the bigger one thinking it would save time and I’d have to make fewer passes with it on her body- BUT I just don’t think that would have been the case. I really DO use the orange one to get into some smaller places on her (legs, throat) that would be much more diffiult if I’d purchased the largest size. And the orange one feels good in my hand- it’s a solid tool with a little weight but very easy to use once you find the right pressure to apply (and once your dog decides to settle down and let you do the job). I’m glad I went with the Furminator- I saw the less expensive ones on Amazon and just thought that if there was something to put a little money into it would be this tool that is going to save me time and aggravation minimizing the dog hair on our clothes and all over our house. I think I paid $22 and it was totally worth it. OH! And the button on mine definitely DOES RELEASE the dog hair that it combs off, but sometimes I DO shake the tool and even blow on it occasionally but *poof* the hair blows away in the wind. Great product, highly recommend!

I was sceptical , I mean very sceptical, was worried about my cat fur, but it’s so gentle as long as you don’t press hard, it runs SMOOTHLY doesn’t damage the coat (in-spite of looking sharp and “intimidating “), and removes tons of loose fur. Didn’t hurt my cat at all, and you know you removed all the undercoat when you feel some resistance.
I tried on my hair first to see if it hurts or cut it😅😅😅. But it ran smoothly and didn’t hurt.
I used to have a cheap one from another brand, it damaged and cut the outer layer it was like a razor blade.
I omitted one star cause I only used it once, 10 minutes ago, so I can’t say whether it’s working or not.
Just be careful with the whiskers it pulled and cut one, wasn’t paying attention.
