I purchased this advanced cordless model for two reasons:
1. I didn’t want a big bulky unit with tubes and wires cluttering my bathroom
2. Needed a waterpik that could be used while travelling
This is a truly fantastic product which ultimately sorted out my gum disease and prevented major gum surgery.
My periodontist was so amazed when I saw him and did a double take when he read in the file that I had last seen him 6 months previously!
He hardly had any work to do
I have been using this since the beginning of October 2017
The first time I used it, it alternated between tickling my gums and feeling like there were needles attacking my mouth!
I couldn’t finish my whole mouth due to this and my gums were bleeding in a few places
I was unprepared for the PULSING water as I assumed it was just a steady stream of water
One needs to persevere, as your mouth needs to get used to the waterpik sensations.
It took about a week to get used to it and during this time my gums still bled.
Over time, the bleeding got less and less and eventually stopped altogether as did my swollen gums
First Impressions
It was bit bulkier than it looks in the pictures
I had to start on the LOW setting as the water pressure is quite strong
After a month, I have moved to MEDIUM and am now on HIGH
Some reviews have mentioned that they feel that the pressure is not strong enough, but it seems that the measure is compared to the plug in model which is understandably more powerful
Having said that, I don’t think that I personally could handle more pressure as on occasion, if one points the nozzle incorrectly on the gums, it still can feel like needles on the gums but this is very rare (The pressure of this portable model is approximately 75psi)
The little flap where you fill the reservoir doesn’t seem to be too tight when you first use it, but it works like a charm and water doesn’t leak out
The buttons are well positioned and one doesn’t push them by mistake
At first, it was quite difficult to do the inside of my teeth, until I realised that the nozzle swivels, which made all the difference
In terms of travelling, it is supplied with a grey plastic “blocker” which is inserted in place of the nozzle.
This prevents residual water from leaking out
It is quite difficult to empty ALL the water out of it, so when travelling, ensure that it is put in a Ziploc bag as there will be a small amount of water that will leak out
I use dental floss before using the waterpik.
There is no special reason for this, other than I am used to using dental floss anyway and feel that this assists in removing plaque from the sides of the teeth
The reservoir holds a fair amount of water (I suppose that there has to be a balance between size and capacity)
I fill up between 3 or 4 times during a session which is very easy to do
Although there are third party generic hard cases available, it would be nice if Waterpik had a custom hard case as an option which would be larger at one end and narrower at the other end so as not to cause unnecessary bulk in your suitcase.
A hard case is a necessity as otherwise the buttons will be pressed and the likelihood of the unit being cracked or broken when you take it out of your suitcase is quite high
PROS
Portable
Efficient
Wireless charging (more on that below)
Does a fantastic job
3 pressure levels
Ergonomic fit to your hand
CONS
No proper hard case
Unintelligent battery – big issue
Unable to empty it completely so a small amount of water leaks out when travelling
BIG FLAW!!!!
The reason for only four stars is that the battery is very old technology in that if you charge it for more than four hours, the battery overcharges and will no longer hold a charge which renders the Waterpik useless
One would expect that with the technology available today, the battery shouldn’t be a problem, but it is
It is mentioned in the user manual, but it is not highlighted and the consequences are not explained
Waterpik really need to address this issue as it has the potential to damage their reputation
It is worth paying a few dollars extra not to have this issue
To charge the unit, place the magnetic charger on the body near the bottom (the charger is magnetised and will automatically attach to the correct spot) and it starts charging, BUT you have to remember to remove the charger as soon as its charged (about four hours), which is not convenient at all
CONCLUSION
Despite the battery/charging issue, I think that this is a fantastic product but would ONLY recommend it if you are willing to put up with and manage the charging of it
It would really be nice if Waterpik would comment and clarify the issue

This water flosser is amazing. It’s easy to use, holds a good charge, and leaves my teeth feeling really clean every time. I like how portable it is and that it comes with extra tips. Very happy with this purchase!

This is such a helpful tool for mantaining my oral health on check. I have ADHD and it’s extremelly difficult for me to mantain proper dental hygiene habits, specifically for flossing with normal floss, such a torture for me. This water flosser makes it so effortless and quick that is there is less friction for me to commit to it. It works pretty well, has several pressure settings, very high capacity battery and you can use it while in shower which is also something that I find very convenient for me. It hasn’t hurt my gums or anything like that and it comes with some nozzle attachments to use depending on what you need. Definetely one of my favorite gagdets!

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 Water Flosser is a game changer! Super easy to use, lightweight, and perfect for travel. The multiple pressure settings let me switch from gentle to powerful, and it leaves my teeth and gums feeling incredibly fresh. Battery lasts a long time and it charges quickly. The only small downside is the water tank runs out fast, but the cleaning power makes up for it. Highly recommend!

I had this for a couple of years. A few days ago, my kid bumped it off the shelf it sat on, and it broke. I bought a Waterpik 1100 to replace it. The alleged advantages of this Advanced 2.0 model I realize are now perhaps at best neutral, if not disadvantages:
– wireless charging, requires a special cord, also in my case an attached cord might have saved it from falling, 1100 uses normal USB-C
– waterproof so you can use it in the shower . . . I am not using it in the shower, also the 1100 has a waterproof cover on the USB port so seems fine enough for whatever one might need
– rotating spout, I’ve found it’s easier to just turn the whole Waterpik around to point it where you need it. Also the rotating mechanism at the top is what broke when it fell, so I kinda think the 1100 might have survived the same impact.
– power, if anything the 1100 seems more powerful, certainly the pump cycle rate is higher which results in smoother water flow. Low/high is fine enough, don’t need a third middle speed
– there were other attachments that came with this, whereas the 1100 only has the basic “pointy squirtgun” attachment, but . . . that’s the only one I ever used anyway, so 1100 saves you and the Earth from having unnecessary manufactured objects to deal with
There is also the very salient fact that the 1100 costs half as much.
So having had one of these and now having gotten an 1100 (which, granted, I’ve only used once), I can’t really see any reason to buy one of these again. Save your money.

I am a long-time Waterpik Waterflosser user. This is the third or fourth cordless unit I have purchased, and prior to that I had a plug-in unit.
My most recent cordless Waterpik Waterflosser survived so long I don’t even remember when I purchased it.
I am a huge fan of Waterflossers because they are incredible at removing plaque, and daily use effectively replaces daily flossing with conventional string floss.
My dental hygienist is thrilled I use my Waterflosser daily. Prior to using one, my teeth were prone to cavities, especially in between teeth.
Straight out of the box, I see huge improvements with the Cordless Advanced 2.0 model:
🦷 USB charger
🦷 significantly longer battery life between charges (3-4 weeks instead of 1 week)
🦷 charges faster (fully charged within 8 hours instead of 12-24)
🦷 magnetic charger eliminates the need to plug anything directly into the unit when charging the battery
🦷 travel bag included
🦷 travel plug included to prevent any water leaks while traveling — love this!!
🦷 4 different types of water flosser tips included
– storage case for water flosser tips included
If you want your dental cleanings and check-ups to be faster and easier, a Waterpik Waterflosser is the way to go.
Also great for people with orthodontic braces, crowns, or any other permanent dental work.
Takes a bit of getting used to if you’ve never used one before, but totally worth the effort because it leaves your mouth feeling super clean.

I absolutely love my Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0! It’s so easy to use and makes my teeth and gums feel incredibly clean—way better than regular floss. The cordless design is super convenient, and I love that it’s rechargeable and waterproof, so I can even use it in the shower. The different tips make it perfect for my whole family, and the travel bag makes it easy to take with me on trips. My dentist even recommended a water flosser, and I can see why—my gums already feel healthier. This is definitely a must-have for dental care!
