I’ve tried a lot of lip liners over the years, but the NYX Slim Lip Pencil has really impressed me. The formula is creamy enough to glide on easily without tugging, yet firm enough to give clean, precise lines. It sharpens well and doesn’t break like some other budget-friendly pencils I’ve used.
The shade range is excellent, there’s truly something for every lipstick in my collection. I use it both to outline and to fill in my lips, and it helps my lipstick stay put for hours with minimal touch-ups. Even on its own, it gives a nice matte finish that doesn’t feel drying.
For the price point, the quality is outstanding. It performs just as well as some high-end liners I own, but at a fraction of the cost. If you’re looking for an affordable lip liner that delivers on performance, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

I absolutely love this lip pencil! The color is gorgeous and works perfectly as a neutral everyday shade. It goes on smoothly without tugging and feels very comfortable to wear. It’s easy to pair with different lipsticks or just wear on its own. Definitely a new staple in my makeup bag!

All of the NYX lip liners are fantastic imo, but mahogany is that one you want in your kit at all times! I pair this with reds, browns, berries; even some pink shades. It is such a beautiful, versatile liner that I grab for all the time. It goes with some of my most beloved lipsticks & glosses and I just couldn’t be without it. A lot of shades like this can pull too warm but this one absolutely does not! (At least on me.) If you’re on the fence, just give it a try! You won’t regret it!

This pencil is creamy, smooth, and super pigmented, it glides on easily without pulling and gives great color payoff. I also love that it’s not sticky or waxy, and it has a nice medium thickness, not too thin and not overly chunky, so you can really control your lines.
It doesn’t have any strong scent, which I appreciate, no weird chemical or perfumey smell. It also wears well throughout the day. I didn’t notice much smudging unless I was eating something oily, so I’d say it’s fairly smudge-resistant for a traditional pencil liner.
The “Natural” shade, though, wasn’t what I expected based on the name and photo. It showed up a bit warmer and darker than I had in mind. Still a pretty shade, just not the subtle nude I thought I was getting.
The pencil is standard size, easy to sharpen, and the quality feels solid overall, especially for the price. I’ll definitely try other shades in this formula, just with a closer eye on swatches.

I am so disappointed and do not understand why make up brands change their formula, in this case the entire colour of the product and still call it by the same name. The Ever shade was the only shade that I could use on a daily basis as a brown girl. It was my version of a natural lip and was perfect. The product I received under the same name and shade number is completely different. Its another pink lip liner, nothing like the original Ever shade and I’m so confused why NYX have done this and can sell it under the same name.
The only reason I’m giving a 2 rather than 1 star, is the fact that the formula seems to be the same, it’s still soft and pigmented but the colour is not Ever.. the bottom shade is the original Ever which looks very natural and blends with my skin tone and the top is the new version which you’ll see is very pinky and looks very different on my lips.

Overall, very nice, functional product. Not too thick but also not too soft. Had little to no smell. Very durable, doesn’t break. Smudges just the right amount, but not fully. A little too light of a shade for me. But very good.
