I usually don’t step out of my comfort zone and try all these new hair products because I stick to what I like and know that works. HOWEVER, I’ve been seeing this hair gloss advertised for years and I just recently decided to cave in and try it since I love my hair and it’s length and it’s durability and wondered how a gloss could make my hair look even healthier. I knew this wasn’t necessarily a “hair care”, product, instead a product to give us a boost of hair confidence. Nonetheless, I wanted to speak up for everyone out there who is cautious of the chemicals in the products, not only did I follow directions very carefully and thoughtfully to not risk having anything bad happened to my hair, but I also watched proper videos beforehand. I noticed that my hair started to fall out in clumps like I’ve never seen it happen before, it was so scary. At first, I thought it was because you have to follow a specific step-by-step rule while applying the gloss which is way different than my regular hair care routine, but then I noticed how stiff and hard it was to tame my hair. I gave the product the benefit of doubt, and I tried once more again properly as I did previously, and it only seemed to have made my hair fall out worse. I’m not saying this is going to happen to everyone, but as someone who’s enjoy having hair, this did the exact opposite for me.

Love it. I apply it in the shower after shampoo and wait 5 or so minutes and rinse. Hair sits in curls with no frizz. Can last 2 to 3 days looking and feeling manageable.

OH MY GOODNESS. Dude. All static burdened and fine haired babes, read this freakin review. This stuff WORKS. Just look at my pictures! The first one you can see the static/dryness and the second is after I used this product. That is after I blow dried it!! No static. I swear on the bees.
Okay I live in Colorado where you could run a small house on the amount of static you produce because it’s so dry here, especially in the winter. I have fine long hair (like to the middle of my back).
Follow these directions and I promise you you and your hair will thank me.
1. Shampoo
2. Squeeze out all water
3. Split hair into two sections
4. Use like a pea to a dime size amount (seriously, don’t get excited and use a bunch) comb it through (with fingers is fine) on each section going ONLY to mid shaft. It will NOT feel slick like conditioner. Don’t worry. It’s doing its thang gurl, just be patient.
5. Leave on for 3-5 mins
6. Rinse
7. Condition your hair from mid shaft down (this locks in the moisture), don’t leave in for very long as it’s not necessary and it may make your hair greasy if you leave it on too long.
8. Rinse thoroughly
9. TA- DA! You now have fabulous glossy, moisturized hair.
So I use all Ouai fine hair products. The smell of this one is like the others, floral. I am sensitive to smells and this doesn’t bother me. If you have fine hair, follow the directions above. You may need to tweak it based on your hair type but it worked wonders for mine. My hair was staticy as all get out and really dry and this stuff revived it massively. I will probably use this once or twice a week depending on how much static my hair holds. Cheers!

I’ve been looking to try a hair gloss for a while now and I’m glad I waited and found this one. I have purchased several other products from Ouai and I love them all! The scents are all wonderful! I followed the instructions for the gloss and got a really nice result. No detangler or leave in conditioner needed after washing my hair, I just dried it like I usually do. It definitely helps make my thick wavy hair feel sleek and smooth! It did feel a bit “heavy” but maybe that’s just the way it works. Definitely not an issue for me. The best part is when I washed my hair again, the product was still in my hair!! This time after drying, I applied the Ouai hair oil. Wow! The perfect combination!! I have trouble with static in my hair and the combination of these two products takes care of that AND leaves my hair shiny and sleek!! Using these two products will eliminate three or four other products I usually use….win win!! By the way, I have super sensitive skin and the Ouai products don’t give me any issues! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try or is using a hair gloss!!
