New to hair… Stuff.
My hair is naturally extremely curly, for years I straightened it due to lack of knowledge on how to manage my curls. Then I had dreadlocks, used tons of wax and naturally buildup occured. Spent weeks brushing my locks out then this past year I did away with all heat tools and embraced my natural hair.
My hair became frizzy, my curls weren’t clumping, overall my hair felt… Terrible.
Did some research and decided to buy this clarifying shampoo.
GIRL. I HAD BEAUTIFUL HAIR AFTER ONE WASH. I bought a high rated hair mask and it was like a whole new world. My hair wasn’t weighed down, the parts of my curls that stopped curling at the end coiled back up and my roots were volumized (volume was a huge issue before this) and ugh it was amazing.
Then I got greedy. I did it again too soon, and my hair was like elastic, brittle and frizzy all over again. It was so dry and sad. After this mishap (user error, not the product) I bought a protein mask and diligently got moisture back into my hair and I’m mostly back to healthy curls.
The price is great for such a good product.
If you’ve never used clarifying shampoo and have used heat tools and product after product on your hair you need this. But DO NOT use it often. You will be mortified and panick (like I was) because this stuff is legit.

read online it was a good product for hair built up. left my hair feeling clean and light. does remove my hairs natural texture leaving it a little flat. over all product and it does its job!

Absolutely love the smell of this as I do with most Kristin Ess’s line. I’ve never tried the clarifying shampoo, so when my other one ran out, I bought this one. I was not disappointed! It definitely stripped all of the built up product in my hair and left it healthy and shiny. I would highly recommend!

This clarifying shampoo really works to strip all product from your hair. It’s a fraction of the cost of many “name brand” products.
You definitely need conditioner following use of this shampoo which leaves your hair totally clean and soft.

I’ve been looking for a good smelling clarifying shampoo for awhile, but everything is sulfate free these days which ticks me off. I WANT sulfates in my shampoo, that’s what makes them actually CLEAN your hair, and all these people complaining about them are ruining it for the rest of us. That being said, this has sulfates and it does a great job. My hair was literally squeaky clean when I was done shampooing it. It comes in what I think is cute, simple packaging, although the bottle is VERY flimsy plastic—–in fact, hey Amazon, please don’t ship my liquid items just thrown into a bag with other items without even a piece of tape to keep the lid on. I am SO surprised this did not spill all over the place. The smell is very mild, but it actually smells good, exactly like shampoo should smell which is fresh and clean. I’m sick of all these smelly shampoos that are just perfume in a bottle.

I love this as a clarifying shampoo and conditioner few times a month to get rid of excess product or before I put a treatment on my hair (Keratin home treatment, etc)
First, the bottle is great because you can actually see how much left is in it. The shampoo itself smells clean and fresh, not overly scented. You do not need much. (and I have thick curly hair).
This is great after build up of product such as hair spray, smoothing agents, heat protection, etc. I usually wash twice before I put conditioner on or a hair treatment. The clarifying shampoo helps the conditioners. etc absorb more .
It is also a great shampoo to use after swimming, and my hair feels nice and soft. This is the best clarifying shampoo I have ever used!

This shampoo is a great cleanser and it is probably my favorite product I’ve ever smelled. I’d buy a perfume that smells like this if I could.
The cap of mine leaks if it’s not upright, however. It does dry out hair (as does any cleansing shampoo) and hasn’t made my hair fall out any more than usual as long as I use it as directed, no more than once ever couple of weeks.
