I’m an aging traveler who’s always gone strictly carryon and strictly 22 liter backpack. I’ll never change from carryon only, but it’s time to try out luggage I don’t have to lug.
This bag is lightweight and easy to maneuver and lift. On the exterior, the shell is good and sturdy, and the wheels work in the traditional drag-behind style and the upright and sideways style.
The interior is sectioned nicely to accommodate different categories of clothing and toiletries—larger items on one side in the large compartment, smaller items in the other compartment, divided in two separate areas. This bag is also expandable with a zip around, but if that expansion is used, the bag is larger than carryon dimensions allow.
Zippers are sturdy, and though the handle feels a bit flimsy, it holds up well.
Fits in the overhead bin.

UPDATE 9/2/25: I’ve now used this carry-on twice — once for a flight and most recently for a family visit. I actually packed more for the family trip than I did for the flight, and it still held up beautifully. It’s sturdy, spacious, and reliable. I’m already looking forward to using it again!

I bought this carry-on for a work trip earlier this month, so I had it for about a month before actually using it. I was really excited, especially because I loved the color—it’s even better in person! The carry-on turned out to be perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how much clothing and other items I was able to fit inside. The hard shell design is a big plus—it felt very sturdy and durable throughout my travels.

My only minor concern was the handle, which felt slightly wobbly at times. I was worried it might come loose, but it held up just fine, so it may have just been me being overly cautious since I haven’t traveled in a while. Overall, I absolutely loved it and it performed wonderfully!

It’s still intact after hard long trip to tour Japan 🇯🇵! Good value, lightweight, nice bright blue color. The size restrictions are smaller for Japan than Europe, this suitcase 🧳 fit the bill perfectly. A very manageable size. Highly recommend. 😊

Great suitcase! I initially bought two of these suitcases- orange and navy- for my 3 kids to use on a trip (I thought I could pack the two younger ones in one suitcase). Immediately, I thought they were nicer than I had expected. I really liked the zippered pockets on the internal divider, and the small zippered pouch on the hinge was an unexpected plus. The exterior seems sturdy, and the handle extends and retracts smoothly. My kids even fought over who got the orange one. I soon realized we would definitely need one suitcase per person, but I wanted a bright color (red) which wasn’t available for the Amazon Basics suitcase. When the not-Amazon-brand red suitcase arrived, it just wasn’t as nice. I didn’t feel that it would last as long as these. The exterior was thinner and felt flimsy, and though it did have an interior divider, it felt more fragile and it didn’t have the hinge pocket. I decided to return that one and order a third Amazon Basics suitcase (light blue). I was much happier with having all three kids have a durable suitcase that I feel will last through many more to come. All three suitcases performed as expected through three flights and two hotels, and being handled by my not-very-gentle boys, and we noticed quite a few people in the airports with multiple Amazon Basics suitcases, too. Very happy with these!
