This printer is great! Easy to set up and wireless works perfect. Just trashed my Epson eco tank for this and so far it seems to be a good replacement. Note, for the scanner on this printer download and use the HP Smart app. It allows to quickly scan and saved all docs at once into a folder. Good buy I would recommend.

I’ve been using this HP inkjet for a while now, and I’m very impressed with how durable and reliable it is. The print quality is consistently sharp, whether I’m printing documents for work or photos for personal use.
What really stands out is how cost-effective it has been. The ink cartridges are surprisingly long-lasting, and when it’s finally time to replace them, the replacements are very affordable compared to other brands I’ve tried. This makes it a great option for anyone who prints frequently but doesn’t want to overspend on ink.
The printer is easy to set up, user-friendly, and connects smoothly to Wi-Fi, which makes printing from multiple devices a breeze. I’ve also noticed it runs quietly and efficiently without any unnecessary issues.

This printer is more accurately characterized as an expensive, oversized paper weight. It literally struggles to print anything more than a simple document. Says it’s a weak internet connection but it is within feet of a router (and none of my other devices are having problems). Every time I have tried to use it, something has gone wrong. When it does print, it is incredibly slow. Today, I spent over an hour trying to print one scanned document, and had to give up. It’s too bad cause I was really excited about the Smart Tank. But if it won’t print…

I don’t print photos. The text looks great. The build quality is fine…everything goes together well, and it feels solid on my printer stand. The black and white LCD display is bright and the options are easy to get to. Scanner scans up to 1200 ppi and the scans look great. The document feeder works smoothly and does the job. I don’t care that there isn’t duplex scanning (two sided).
The assembly setup was pretty easy after watching a couple of YouTube videos, but the print head positioning is made clunky because it was difficult to get my hand in there and angle it around. The network setup was OK using the HP Smart app. But it didn’t want to find the driver at first. The print head install and the driver crankiness is why I have given this 4 stars.
What I like most aside from getting a very functional home printer for just over $200.00 is the bottled ink refills. Compared to cartridges, they are huge.

A breeze to install on my eero 3 router. I make a lot of labels for my hobby and wanted them to look as close to professionally rendered as possible. I tested the printer first on my toughest designs on transparent labels. I am so impressed with the quality of the prints. No fussing at all. I loaded a single sheet into the paper feed and it came out perfect. No alignment adjustments were needed and the colors were vibrant and lively.
There are so many things to like about this printer. Ink levels are visible on the front & easy to refill. Print heads insert easily. The control panel is light up and is a touch screen. Paper is loaded in a chute on the back so its a chinch to fill. It can copy multiple pages loaded on the top. I can print from my phone or my HP laptop.
This is a game changer for my home hobby. I wasn’t expecting the transparent labels to be as simple as placing the label sheet into the paper feed and pressing print but that’s all there was to it. It’s exactly what I needed. You have the option to print at 300, 600, and 900 DPI, too.

I did a lot of research on the various printers before I decided on this one. I’ve had other printers all of which didn’t meet my exceptions or needs. This printer is easy to connect and install. A big plus for me. The directions are clear and precise and easy to read. Another big plus. Its printing is crisp. I got one with Ink tanks because I didn’t like having to mess with the Ink cartridges as often as I was having to. It’s not cumbersome although a wee bit large, it does fit on my desk comfortably.

After owning it for a couple years I am comfortable saying that I’ll never buy an hp printer again. Terrible wireless printing, always have to screw around getting it to work. Aweful print quality. Even after doing all the troubleshooting, alignment, best quality etc, it still prints patchy. Don’t waste money with hp.

Very light, not as robust as you may expect for the prices and for an HP product.
The assembly is not as tight and it gives you the impression that there are some loose screws in a few spots.
Slower than most printers.
Not sure about the ink claims yet. Time will tell.
Definitely not impressed for the money invested.

Trying to keep this simple but this is just not a good printer.
The good: not much.
The plastic used and construction are cheap. Feels flimsy.
Trying to install the print heads is simply a pain. You have to use a flashlight to try to see where to install both cartridges, then you have to somehow hold these cartridges while making your hand flatter then a sheet of paper to fit them into a space designed not to allow your hand to fit into while praying you don’t break the flimsy plastic.
The print quality was really good…for a few prints until a paper jam screwed up the whole printer. It took two sheets of standard paper instead of one and all of a sudden an error message, on the very tiny screen, keeps saying to reinstall the specified print head cartridge, but it doesn’t say or specify which one. So, reinstalled both and it refuses to print. Now it says the print head cartridges need replacing- after less than 20 prints.
HP engineered this thing to be very hard to install and set up, very hard to install the print heads cartridges, very unusable, and their software requirements are the most invasive I have ever seen. You seem to have more privacy rights with malware than with the HP software. It runs only on a wireless setting, so no printer cable connection allowed. Setting up the wifi is very tricky and can only be set up on a 2.4 ghz wifi system. So, if you don’t know if your system has a 2.4 or is a 5 ghz system, might want to check that out before buying this. Many routers have both, but you need to know how to set those up, which brings the ease of use into question. This isn’t made for someone who doesn’t have the knowledge base to troubleshoot whether or not their router supports a 2.4 ghz or 5 GHz, or has dual bands in which to connect to, just something to think about. If you are asking yourself what a 2.4 or 5 GHz router is, ask yourself why should you have to bother with router settings in order to print a picture of your dog. Next, if you decide to buy this, be sure to set the WiFi up correctly from the get-go. When I set this up it identified my router in the settings, so I connected it. Unfortunately it defaulted to 5ghz and therefore would not connect to my computer. After having to troubleshoot, I found the HP site of no use, so off to Google I went. Came across a site saying it has to be a 2.4 connection so I tried setting it up on my 2.4 but it still wouldn’t connect. Long story short- took 30 minutes to reset the entire printer, remove the printer from the computer, reinstall the printer, and finally got it to work. So complicated.
It does have some good features though, but not many. The fact that it has the ink bottles is good, and they are not difficult to fill so that part HP did right. One other thing that is perhaps the most fantastic part of the printer is…This is the only printer I have seen with handles on the plastic wrapping it comes shipped in so getting it out of the box is very easy. However, keep in mind you will need to keep this plastic wrapping and box….because you will probably have to send it back like I am doing.

This printer was very easy to set up and connected immediately to the Internet without any help. The instructions were complete and even filling the ink tanks was easy and no mess. I would recommend it to anyone.
