After going through the motions of loading the software/firmware again after my earlier complaint, I was helped by the REAL HP team! In just a few minutes, they solved the problems created by my initial contact. By me contacting the “on line chat” with the HP help desk, I received a support call from a hacker who tried to force me into a cyber protection program for $$$$$! Thanks to the real HP support, no money was wasted.
I HATE DEALING WITH PROBLEMS!
*** Initial review, later amended- Printers are apparently no longer “plug and play”. Plugged it in and followed startup sheet. Wouldn’t install the software, fatal error C0000022. Contacted their help desk. They remote entered my computer, did diagnostic run, and then tried to sell me firewall protection for $850 for 5 years or $1500 for life. Said they wouldn’t help me if I didn’t, said goodbye and hung up.

I’ve installed the printer on my new Windows 11S laptop and it is working great.
The installation was not easy for me, it took me about about 2 hours to install and get everything working via wifi.
The instructions are not very clear.

I work from home and I have went through a lot of printers over the past 1-2 years. Most work great for a couple of months then stop working. So far, I have had zero issues with this printer. Great for printing, scanning etc. Gave me a headache at setup but everything after that has been easy.

Outstanding printer, quick easy setup at least for me. Prints clear and fast.

I love this printer! I had to buy a new printer after my old one would no longer sync with my updated computer system. I was nervous about having to set up the printer but, it went smoothly and works beautifully. The print speed is good and it is very easy to use. I have it hooked up for automatic ink refills which makes it one less thing that I need to worry about. I think it is a solid printer for the price!

I like this printer very much. It replaced an older one. The new one feels much more solid than the older one. That was a pleasant surprise based on the trends of today’s products which almost always seem cheaper. Set up is easy. And there were choices of how and where to set it up. It also tracks ink usage and automatically sends ink when needed. Never run out of ink. And the program pricing is much better than buying one off at retail. The printer does everything I need. It is not too noisy either. It does seem to take a bit longer to print but the printed documents are very high quality. It also prints photos better than any printer I have had. It has a feeder. The great thing is when you use the manual platen you don’t need to place the document in an exact position. The printer detects what you are printing and adjusts itself. No more crooked or off center copies. That is great for me. As printers go the price, size and quality make it top notch.

I have owned personal computers and printers since 1986. I have occasionally had problems with the mechanism of different models of either dot matrix, laser, or ink jet printers. With all printers, I know to expect those issues and usually can figure out how to fix them.
When I was considering this printer, I read a review about how easy it was to install the software this printer has, HP Smart. It affected slightly my decision to buy this printer. I only wish my experience was as good. I found the software neither easy to use nor the slightest bit intuitive. You download the app from the MS store and download it from there. I almost sent this printer back because I could not get the software loaded. I worked for almost six hours yesterday to get the software to download. I restarted my computer several times, hoping to clear the problem. I even decided to do something I hate doing, contact their technical support team. But, I was in the queue for their recommended chat option over four hours, but nobody turned up. Finally, I just gave it up. Tomorrow was another day. This morning, I finally managed to download HP Smart app. Once the app downloaded, it took over an hour for my printer to recognize my network and set up the communication.
My recommendation, if you decide to buy this printer, is when you open the top of the printer to install the tiny printer cartridges that come with the printer, you note the white label inside. There is an 8-digit PIN you are going to need
during your software setup. Write that number or take a photo of it because you cannot open that cover while the printer is on. Another issue is when HP Smart asks for your wifi’s password, cut and paste will not work. You must fat-finger the password into the designated space.
One other thing you might want to consider is the “free trial” of their ink supply program. If you select HP+, you are automatically enrolled in $7.99 a month after two “free” months. If you select to participate in that program, it amounts to about $96 a year. To stop the program, you must notify HP you are not interested. Whether it is beneficial or not depends on how much you print and what the conditions are for its use. I am not advocating or condemning the program. But since I only print about 250 sheets per month, I am skeptical of its value to me personally.

I work from home full-time, and this printer works for my needs. HP has always been quality. Easy set up. Prints great, not extremely fast, but adequate. Scanning is easy. Design is clean.

Just set it up and is working great so far. It has so many options for the price, and the online tutorial was really easy to use. My only issue was I got a lot of paper jams at first, but it tells you where the jam is, making it easier to use. It prints super fast, and double sided which I love.
