This calculator wins in functionality and aesthetics! The note board works perfectly, if you have trouble clearing your screen you may have it locked. There is a toggle at the bottom when opened, switch it to the unlocked setting and press the circle to clear the note screen.
Our basic testing equations came back accurate. The stylus is a good size and fits securely in the unit.
It folds and could fit in in almost any bag, and is nice and light weight. This would be a great gift for a student or anyone running equations or even taking brief notes frequently. Remember, there is no erase, only totally wiping the note screen.

This item is one I got because had another that had the calculator screen break and I misplaced. I hoped this one worked as well and it’s a mixed bag.
The calculator is better. The other one had a 4 function, this is a scientific, and while there are a few things I haven’t figured out (there doesn’t appear to be a a delete button on the editor which annoys me) it’s pretty much strictly better.
Where it falls behind badly is the LCD screen. A large part of why I wanted to replace the one was that instead of wide lines (which are like most LCD drawing boards, and ~4mm thick (give or take) the other had fine lines so you could get significant text/drawings going. This one is strictly worse on that side.
Noting that this is currently $15 and ones like my broken one are $18-24, that is a point in favor.
So if you want a better calculator, with a writing pad, this one is a better value, but if you want a writing table with a calculator (which is where I’d fall) some others are superior values with their better LCDs.
Overall, with this being so small and not being a fine LCD I think that limits it too much compared to what I know they can be, and am going to give this 4 stars.

The Niodel Scientific Calculator is fantastic! It’s packed with 240 functions, making it perfect for high school, college, and even office use. The dual-line 10+2 digit display is large and clear, so it’s easy to read calculations at a glance. I love the foldable design—it’s compact and portable, ideal for carrying in a backpack or desk drawer. The included LCD writing tablet is a great bonus for quick notes or scratch work, saving paper and making studying more convenient. The pink color is bright and fun, adding a touch of style to functionality. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable, multifunctional calculator!

I got this for my 5th grader in advanced math. I love the idea of him being able to work out problems on the notepad side and then checking with the calculator. I figured he’d be able to use this for a few years. He doesn’t care about colors, but for me, I love the pink color.
The first thing I did when I got it out was to try out the notepad. I copied one of the listing pictures and you can see my writing is not as crisp as their pictures. You can’t write out larger equations because the numbers and lines bleed out a little. So it’s not going to as functional for larger equations.
I let my son try it out and he loves it. That makes it a better value. He was so excited to be using such a ‘fancy’ calculator. He can use it to check his homework, and unlike regular calculators, he can see the equation he is checking at the top, to make sure he didn’t make a mistake.
Physically, it’s light weight, easy to store in a backpack and feels like a decent quality. The display size is better than a generic calculator and the notepad size is reasonable. Even if the writing fuzzes out a little.
Overall-we’re still happy with it, but I gave it a 3 because their images really make it look like you can write out more lengthy equations and read them.

I picked up this calculator because I liked the idea of having a writing tablet right next to any calculations I’m working on. The price was good, and I wanted something easy to carry and just toss in my bag.
The LCD writing tablet is honestly one of my favorite things about this calculator. It’s a unique feature, and I’ve never owned a calculator with anything like it. The stylus tucks away underneath, so it’s always there when you need it. To get the stylus out, you need to have the case at least partway closed, but it’s easy once you get used to it. You could use something else to write with, but I’d be careful not to scratch the screen. I tried using my fingertip, and it left a lot of green dots, so I’d stick with the stylus if possible. When you want to erase what’s on the screen, just press the round pink button at the bottom. If it doesn’t erase, check the lock slider on the bottom edge. If it’s locked, your notes will stay until you’re ready to clear them, which is actually pretty handy if you want to keep your work for a bit.
The calculator itself is lightweight and folds up nicely. The hard plastic shell feels sturdy, but I’ll probably keep mine in a sleeve or pouch so it doesn’t get scratched up in my purse. The pink color matches the listing and definitely stands out from my other supplies.
There are a couple things to know before you start using it. The listing says it runs on a AAA battery, but it actually takes a CR2025 button battery. The compartment is on the bottom and is held in place with a tiny screw. I haven’t opened it yet since pulling the battery resets the calculator, but the basics are covered in the manual. There’s a User’s Manual included, along with a separate sheet that explains the different calculations. Most of the instructions are in Chinese, so I used a translation app for the parts I wasn’t sure about. The main functions are pretty easy to figure out just by playing around, but the app was helpful for translating some of the details.
Turning the calculator on is simple. Just press the button in the upper right corner. To turn it off, press Shift (upper left), then the AC button a little over halfway down the right side. There’s also a big Replay button at the top, but I didn’t find anything in the instructions about what it does. Maybe I missed it. I’m looking forward to getting to know all the features and using the LCD screen for quick notes or to jot down problems as I go.
All in all, this is a handy calculator that’s easy to take along and makes it simple to keep your notes and calculations in one place. I’ll update if I run into any issues, but so far, I’m really happy with it.
