I waited a bit to write this review. I desperately WANT to love this vacuum……there a some great things about it. It’s lightweight. I have a tri-level home and can easily maneuver all 3 levels on 1 charge and without worrying about a cord. The dump cup is easy to empty. The brush roll is removable (amazing option).
Unfortunately, I can barely make it through 1 floor level without having to fully remove and clean off the brush roll. If I don’t catch it in time, hair works it’s way around the inner pin and starts smelling like burnt hair. Not fun. Now, the brush roll is fairly easy to clean, but it’s the tedious hassle of having to do it in roughly 5 minute integrals. It’s fairly powerful on the high setting, but for carpets and rugs I use my larger vacuum to get some deep cleaning in.

I love this vacuum not for its power – but for the convenience of its size, rechargeability and the fact that it works just fine. It isn’t super powerful, but it does have the boost button, and I use it for regular maintenance of the carpets and kitchen floor. Our cleaners come with a more powerful vacuum every month and when my husband tried to use it for a move out cleaning of our old house, he got very frustrated with the battery life and lack of suction power.
I love that it’s small and light and I grab it from its spot and quickly get my carpets and floors vacuumed – no finding plugs as I move through the house and it fits in small spaces and is light enough to quickly vacuum my couch too. And the detachable pieces come off easily when needed.
Definitely recommend for a lighter vacuum

Update: After my review Eureka kindly reached out to me to make it right. They sent me a new machine, and it does perform better than my previous. Suction power is much stronger, and I no longer have a heating problem with the battery. It does appear that they made improvements with the issues I was describing. I was impressed with their customer service emailing me directly.

Owned this for nearly a year, and I’m really disappointed with my purchase. Here are just a few of the downsides:
1) Battery life is horrible. At the highest suction setting, you get maybe 5 minutes max. It also heats up the handle to the point where it starts to smell like burning plastic.
2) The filter is difficult to clean, and it’s impossible to find replacements online. I often have to bleach it just due to the smell after washing.
3) The light to replace the bag in the removal station never comes on before that bag is absolutely stuffed full, and requires you to pull out the hair/gunk clogging the mail pipes.
4) We have two pets that shed quite a bit, and this just doesn’t have the suction power to clean couches/chairs.

Great machine thoroughly recommend it.
