I have owned a Dyson for more than 15 years. So after my Dyson stopped, picking up the smallest of things, I knew it was time for a new vacuum. I was never really satisfied with my Dyson so I went to my friends
to find what they had, they all had a Bissell vacuum. so I went to Amazon found a Bissell that I absolutely love when it arrived. I ran my Dyson over my carpet then I ran my Bissell. I was shocked at how much more the Bissell picked up. I wish I had known about this vacuum years ago the LED lighting is fantastic it shows everything on my floor so I know that the vacuum has picked it up also on the wand that goes down deep into your cushions, also has an LED lighting wow this was just amazing to me. The suction is very good. It’s easy to assemble and so very easy to empty the band. I recommend this Bisso to everyone and anyone who’s thinking of buying a vacuum. I’m in my 70s and I can tell you this is the vacuum I’ve ever owned. Also I have a long hair cat and it does a wonderful job picking up her hair.

This Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Lift-Off vacuum is really impressive. The self-cleaning brush roll does a great job keeping hair from wrapping around, which means less fuss and maintenance. The HEPA sealed system helps trap dust and allergens so it doesn’t just push them back into the air. The lift-off pod and handy tools make it easy to reach furniture, stairs, and other tight spots.
If there’s one small thing to note it’s a little heavy to move around, but for what it does the effort is totally worth it.

Received on time. Excited to use… over several uses noticed. It’s a short cord.. so constantly unplugging and plugging back in. No long solid wand, just the flex hose that you can put different ends on. Doesn’t help much when reaching to clean up something as flexible hose isn’t that cooperative. Finally front on beater bar is high. Fits under standard kitchen cabinets but if decorative trim, no, have to manipulate the flexible hose. It does pick up well on carpet and hard floors. Finally low cord pullout so if not holding the cord up out of way, it continually gets in way. My findings after several uses. Purchased to replace my aging Dyson, only improvement from it is how well picks up. My Dyson has to be at least 12 or more yrs old now, losing power and hose is falling apart, so why replaced, and didn’t want to to pay what asking for Dyson.

Shortcomings/complaints:
The hose is waaay too short/taught, and the center of balance seems off- like it’s top heavy somehow. Almost every time I try to use the hose, even for stuff within arm’s reach of the vacuum, the slightest tension on the hose pulls the whole machine over. The vacuum being detachable from the head is advertised as a feature when in reality it’s pretty much a requirement any time you want to use the hose. I find this awful on my back, and it could have been much better had they given the hose a just a little more length.
Maintenance is alright, except for the brush rollers- Any time something gets caught in the rollers you have to take the vacuum head apart with a screw driver and remove something like 5 or 6 small screws- having to do this multiple times in the same cleaning session is a huge time sink. Small random stuff (like tiny candy wrappers) that shouldn’t be an issue to vacuum end up jamming the roller, adding to the frustration.
I sucked up a bobby pin on accident and it ended up cracking the plastic housing that a screw on the head mounts into, and now it makes a horrible grinding and rattling sound any time the brush is turned on. I’ve sucked up hundreds of bobby pins with a dozen different vacuums, and all those survived just fine, but the first one this one tasted took it out.
Good stuff:
The tank is easy to empty, and the filters are easy to clean and replace, which is a plus.
The lights on the vacuum head help you see all the little bits that you might not see otherwise, which is a feature I greatly appreciate.
Conclusion:
It’s an okay vacuum, but has some glaring issues that will have me looking elsewhere when the time comes to replace it- which I feel is going to be much sooner than I would have hoped for how much this machine costs (not satisfied with the value for money).
EDIT
Hose randomly tore open at the base, making the whole unit completely useless after less than one year.
Worst investment in a vacuum I’ve ever made.

Out of the box it was easy to put together, the construction seems of good quality, and it’s much quieter than the vacuum its replacing.
After one use:
Out of the box: It did a great job in pulling tons of cat hair (I have 3) out of the carpets, and the accessory upholstery brush worked pretty well on some fabric chairs and my couch. In my small dining room alone it pulled two full tanks of dust and hair out of the carpet with none clogging the brush roller.
The accessory hose is a little bit short, and kind of awkward to maneuver (with the upholstrey tool you have this 2.5 foot long solid wand on three feet of hose connected to the bottom of the vacuum) but that could also be helpful in reaching higher places and vacuuming out corners and crevices.
The accessories seem pretty good. The light on the crevice tool is a little bit cheesy (single LED powered by watch batteries) but still kind of nice to have.
The auto cord winder is nice, but I feel like to get the auto winder, I gave up about 10ft of cord length, which would have been nice to have too.
Seems a bit mediocre on the hardwood floors, but I haven’t had a chance yet to give it a full fair test.
So far I’m very happy with this vacuum, it does exactly what I bought it for (removing copious amounts of dust and cat hair from carpet) and does it well. The accessories and the cord winder seem good right now and for the price I’m happy with the purchase.
As time goes on I’ll update the review, especially if anything breaks or goes wrong. The vacuum I replaced was a hoover pet pro, and it did a fantastic job for almost 10 years before getting old and tired. Lets see if this one does as well.

I really like this vacuum. It picks up and holds a lot. It is light weight and easy to use. Easy to empty the canister. It also does get most of the fur off the furniture. Good suction, keeps picking up even after using for over 10 minutes. Worth the price, but I did wait for it to be on sale, lol. The retractable cord is the best too! That was a deciding factor when I bought it. I very much dislike having to wind a long cord after vacuuming, and with this vacuum I just hold the button and the cord is tucked in. Strong suction, it catches all the dust bunnies. With an easy release handle/wand to get any dust or spider webs up high. I’m happy with this purchase!

This definitely picks up pet hair and does a fantastic job. I love it but… You need to clean it often. Not just the filter parts. The brush stopped today because there was a clump of hair and dust clogging it. Kudos for stopping and not catching fire or burning out.
I have Great Danes so not a ton of hair that’s long and difficult for a vacuum. I’ve washed the canister parts and filters every other full vacuum. Say 3-4 times emptying a session, it’s a big place. (The canister is small so needs to be emptied often.)
So if you’re aware it needs cleaning and care, making sure everything is clear, it’s fantastic at vacuuming. Great suction and really pulls the debris out of the carpet. Probably suitable for a smaller bit of carpet instead of the 900 sq ft and two huge dogs that I’m dealing with. I’d love one with a bigger canister and tolerance. I’ve had it for 8 months.

Unboxed and put it together. Was impressed by easy assembly and couldn’t wait to try it. The retractable cord and attachments is what drew me towards purchasing this vacuum.
It did an amazing job on my carpet in the living room. Pulled stuff out of my carpet that my 15 year old Dyson just wasn’t getting anymore. I was so impressed.
I then took it to my low carpet and hard floor where my excitement took a turn. Did a terrible job picking anything up on bare floors.
It’s going back and I’m spending the extra again to get another Dyson….

Poor design, always falls on my foot when I pull it. it hurts . Won’t buy anymore
