I’m brand new to living on my own and adulting. I really wanted a good vacuum without destroying my already suffering bank account. I settled on this one, even though I don’t have pets, because I know the carpet of my house has only been vacuumed by a really old vacuum for probably a decade or more, so I knew the carpet was probably way worse than it looked. I LOVE this thing. It was really easy to assemble, the swivel part makes it really easy to maneuver, and the attachments are great! I’m not even really sure what the pet-specific attachment is for, but it still did a great job getting small bits out of smaller areas of the carpet. The regular vacuum part got up SO much dust and dirt. I was kind of mortified but actually very relieved that it works so well. It works well on my hard floors in my kitchen as well when the settings are adjusted for that type of flooring. And it’s got the easy emptying mechanic where you remove the barrel thingy and press a button to empty it into the trash. It can maintain a good deal of dust/dirt in the barrel though, but that’s to be expected–that’s just how dust/dirt works. It’s about as heavy as I would expect a decent vacuum to be, but it’s definitely not difficult for me to lift on the rare occasion I need to lift it. I think this was a really good vacuum for me to start with. I show it off to anyone who will listen.

I ordered the Bissell after my previous vacuum broke. I am AMAZED at how great this vacuum works!! I had NO idea how horrible my previous vacuum was until I received this one. My husband and I were both so amazed at how much it pulled up from our thin rug in our living room that we took a video of it! I will upload that video at some point. It worked great at pulling up human hair, pet hair, etc. It made our bedroom look like we had brand new carpet. Again, I had no clue how horrible my previous vacuum was until I bought this one. I love the automatic cord retractor – however – it did cut through the cord and strip it in a section. I reached out to Bissell and they had AMAZING customer service. They sent me pre-paid postage and paid for me to send the vacuum back for them to fix my vacuum. They sent it back to me in a very quick turn around. I am extremely pleased with Bissell’s customer service. They even included a complementary pet clean-up product that was sent back with the fixed vacuum. I think I’m a Bissell customer for life now. Again, I’m very happy with this product! My only complaint was the cord was broken in the first place, but Bissell did what they needed to do to make it right.

The Bissell CleanView Swivel Vacuum is powerful, lightweight, and easy to use. The triple action brush roll lifts dirt, pet hair, and debris from both carpets and hard floors effortlessly. I love the swivel steering — it makes moving around furniture simple — and the extension wand is perfect for reaching corners and high spots. The dirt tank empties quickly without any mess, and the multi-cyclonic suction keeps performance strong throughout the cleaning. An excellent value and definitely deserving of its Amazon’s Choice label.

Very happy with the suction and function of the vacuum. Easy to assemble. Easy to clean. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Must adjust height of rollers for different types of flooring (bare, low rug, higher pile rug, etc.) by turning a knob on the head- easy to do. Main brush does a good job of pulling up debris off floor. Sweep on the bottom prevents debris from flying out the back. Easy to use hose attachment. Only complaints- the pet -hair cleaning head falls off its holder when vacuuming; cord holder at the top of the handle does not hold the cord securely and it falls out constantly. Other than that, I really like the vacuum (replaced a much higher priced model and cleans just as well.

Works like a charm! We have 2 dogs that shed ALOT and this thing gets deep in the carpet to lift it up. Some people say they wish the cord length was longer, but I think it’s quite long enough!
We have had a Shark and a Dyson vacuum and neither worked as good as this.
Easy to assemble, and lightweight to move around.
The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do like the lift away aspect of other brands like shark, and the carpet height selector is a knob that you manual rotate on the base of the vacuum rather than something operated with the thumb on the handle. The handle operated ones make it easier to quickly swap between carpet and hardwood/tile.
