I needed two 36 inch-ish shoe storage solutions in dark brown, and these have turned out to be ideal. Those who complain of the bench being wobbly likely tightened all of the bolts with the bench on its side or upside down, which is not the way to assemble any sort of furniture-in-a-box. Instead, do this:

1) Place the top upside down on a steady surface and install the legs. Finger tighten all 12 bolts/flanged nuts without using the included hex key (slightly loose is your goal).
2) Install the middle shelf. Finger tighten all 8 bolts/barrel nuts.
3) Install the lower shelf. Finger tighten all 8 bolts/barrel nuts.
4) Flip the bench over and stand it up where you plan on using it. Add some weight for stability and to push the top firmly down upon the legs. I used two 20 pound bags of grill pellets, for example.
5) Tighten all 12 bolts holding the legs to the top.
6) Tighten all 8 bolts holding the middle shelf to the legs.
7) Tighten all 8 bolts holding the lower shelf to the legs.
8) Remove whatever you used for weight and you’re all done! Follow these steps and your shoe shelf will be rock steady and wobble-free. For those whose shelves are already built but do wobble, you can loosen the bolts and start again at step 4 to steady it up.

I also added some felt feet to the bottom of the legs to prevent marring on wood floors. For something that costs nearly $50, the manufacturer should have included a solution for this, which is why I deducted one star.

Overall, I’m pleased with this product and ordered a second just after assembling the first one I received.

Was looking for some thing small to be able to store me and my son’s shoes and allow him to sit on it to put his shoes on. He’s only nine and it’s great for him and I even can sit on it. It says it holds 300 pounds which I am not, as long as you don’t wiggle back-and-forth it feels pretty sturdy. Thankfully it showed up and none of the pieces were damaged. I don’t have a huge space near the door so I couldn’t get something big. This was perfect! Easy to put together and looks really nice. It doesn’t have a huge amount of space for shoes so if you’re a larger family it’s not going to work. Other thing to keep in mind the directions don’t tell you which side is up when you’re putting it together. Look for the weird holes that don’t match the other two and that’s what goes to the top piece (bench). The other ones need the washers to attach the next level. When you look at the bench, hopefully this will make sense if you’re putting it together. LOL! The only other improvement I could suggest is to include covers for the screws. It would make it look much more expensive and finished. Right now you can see all the screws when it’s done. Not a big deal but it would make a difference.

It’s okay. It serves it purpose and is pretty cute. It’s a great size for the space I have by my door, however it doesn’t feel very sturdy. The legs are just the wood planks so if you sit on the bench or put something on it that’s a little heavier it skids on the floor. I’m considering buying bumpers for it so I don’t risk scraping the floor or the furniture.
Mine came chipped and it’s very noticeable against the black finish so I made sure to have the bench towards the wall so you cant see it unless you’re bending to store your shoes. It’s easy to wipe down. I’m able to fit about 8 pairs of shoes on both shelves.

I wear a size 13 and on one row 4 pairs of my shoes can fit for context. Easy to assemble and sturdy when sitting on the bench.
