This thing works great. I had to adjust my own times but it is a start and forget egg cooker.
I love soft boiled eggs and almost never had them because of the time it took to cook them and guessing how long to let them boil.
This thing is great. 3 soft boiled eggs in 7 minutes and the eggs are perfect every time. Takes 1 minute or less to get the eggs starting to cook. I set my timer for 7 minutes and they are perfect every time. By the time I have everything else ready the eggs are done.
Great Item – I love it.

I wish I’d bought this a long time ago. Fllow the instructions and you’ll get perfect eggs every time. It’s way faster than doing them on the stove, and the eggs peel super easy.

This is a very handy kitchen gadget that does save me time, especially when it comes to standing over a frying pan or poaching pan to cook my eggs. Now, there are some things that you need to know in order to get the most out of this device. Here’s what I’ve found:

    1. If you are poaching eggs, you may find that they completed poached eggs are too watery and loose. One unusual aspect of this cooker is that the more water you measure and put into the boiling tray, the longer your cook time will be. That’s because the unit works by continuing to cook so long as there still is water present which the built-in sensor will detect. I had to experiment to get poached eggs to where I like them which ended up being either around the Soft line or between the Soft & Medium line on the poached eggs side of the water measuring cup. When I cook poached eggs I like to carefully take out the plastic poaching tray (it’s hot use pot holders or similar) to slightly tilt it so that excess water from the steam is removed around each of the eggs prior to me taking them to plate. Also, when I remove poached eggs I use a spoon to take them out of the plastic poaching tray instead of just turning the tray over on a plate. I do this because if you don’t you’ll invariably end up with extra water on your plate.
    2. Do not spill any eggs whites on the sides of the cooking plate, on the cooking plate, or even on the plastic cooking tray. That’s because you’ll have one heck of a time trying to clean the burned egg white off of the machine without damaging it. I had this happen once and I had to use a mixture of water and baking soda (let it sit for 20 minutes) in order to get things back to normal. It also took a heck of a lot of Magic Eraser and sponge scrubbing to complete it all.
    3. When you’re using the cooker, be sure to make sure that the small open hole of the plastic cover is pointed towards the back of your unit. You don’t really want hot steam blowing out towards the front near your face.
    4. Follow the directions in the manual and for the cooking suggestions use those as a good place to start, but fine-tune based on how you like your eggs.

This is really a very handy machine. It works well, though one side does get a bit warmer than the other so one egg may be a little less/more cooked than the other, but no big deal. The size of the unit is perfect – not too small, not too big and easily cooks six hardboiled eggs at a time. Washing the plastic plates is very simple and takes almost no time. Ingenious little device and with the right fine-tuning information (like what I’ve tried to enter here) you’ll be well on your way to a really nicely cooked egg. It’s a recommend from me to anyone who likes eggs, but doesn’t like to deal with the standard cook time and process.

I used to roll my eyes at people raving about these small egg cookers. That is, until I finally bought and used one. This works fantastic! The eggs come out perfect and it is much quicker than waiting for water to boil and heating up the whole stove to boil a few eggs. I worried about piercing the eggs when I read about it, but it is simple and isn’t a problem at all. I like that the eggs aren’t overdone and dry. I now use it weekly. I hate cluttering up the kitchen with lots of appliances and this is small and stores nicely when not in use. The instructions are great and it arrived as described without any problems.

I’ll never boil eggs in a pan of water again. I’ve “hard boiled” several dozen eggs since getting this and it’s been fantastic. The directions are straightforward, the device is simple to use, and the results are great.
Make sure you poke a hole in the shell before cooking, using the provided tool. It was a bit disconcerting at first, as I expected the egg to shatter, but it was no problem. Also, make sure to place the cooked eggs in cold water when they’re done.
The alarm that sounds when it’s ready is a bit loud and mildly annoying, but no biggie.
It’s small and will not take up a lot of storage space.
The amount of water you use will determine the “hardness” of the eggs when done. So you can easily achieve eggs cooked to your liking.
It comes with an omelette tray that is only good for two, one egg “omelettes”, but it’s kinda cool.
The bottom line is you get a perfectly cooked, easy to peel egg. For the money, it’s great and I’d recommend it to anyone that hates the unpredictable and cumbersome process of boiling eggs in a pan.

This DASH Rapid Egg Cooker is a true kitchen hero. I was tired of guessing how long to boil eggs and ending up with undercooked or overcooked results, but this little appliance has completely solved that problem. It perfectly cooks up to 6 eggs at a time, and the automatic shut-off feature is a game-changer—it beeps when the eggs are ready, so I can set it and forget it.

Beyond hard-boiled eggs, I’ve been loving the versatility. The included trays make it incredibly easy to make perfect poached eggs and mini omelets with no mess. The appliance is compact, and the aqua color is a cheerful addition to my countertop. It’s so simple to use, and the results are consistently perfect every single time. If you love eggs and want to save time and hassle, this is a must-have kitchen gadget.

This little guy is definitely a kitchen staple for me. It cooks eggs perfectly every time, and takes way less effort than boiling them on the stove. It’s held up great after a year of (albeit occasional) use. My only gripe is that the timer noise isn’t auto off, you have to manually turn it off or it’ll keep playing indefinitely. I think. Or else it just stays on for a very, very long time. But that is definitely not a big issue in the grand scheme of things (and certainly not something I’ll subtract a star for).
