11/10 Must have for all blackout style curtain lovers. Durable, high quality, lightweight, blackout ‘s all light as advertised, color (black I ordered) is a solid quality & seems to keep heat retention solid.

Bought for my 2 bedrooms. One where the sun rises & other where it sets.
Where it sets exposes most consistent & open / not shaded direct sunlight.

These blackout curtains are a dream come true!

I have had to return several of these curtains and chose to repurchase this same brand for all of my windows except my bedroom. For my bedroom these are simply not total blackouts- I purchased black for my bedroom and in the daytime most of the light comes in around the curtain rod but also the curtains are not 100% light blocking. I recommend if 100% blackout is important to you (it is to me) consider additional help such as shades under your curtain or look for a curtain with s really good, 100% blackout liner in another brand. These curtains are made of a nice material and look nice in a room, with many color selections at a good price, but are not 100% blackout. Also I recommend carefully selecting a curtain rod designed to help stop light at the top.

One other issue I had was the length not reaching where I measured, as the length is stated. I did measure from my curtain rod height for accuracy.

Aside from that, I have another tip, the curtains drape better and look better if you order in a width that is DOUBLE your window width. For my wider windows I learned to get the 100W patio panels in the correct length and order 2 for one window. It looks so much better. For any window, a width double to your window hangs so much better and darkens better not pulled so straight, with the length barely brushing the floor, this looks better than too-short curtains. Unless you are doing a special window like a kitchen or bathroom window, floor length looks better than coming up short.

With all of that said, except for needing to go to a different brand for 100% blackout for my bedroom, once I worked these issues out and returned a set where the length seemed to be inaccurate, I am happy with the quality of these curtains for most rooms in my home. They look nice when they fit properly, drape well at double the width of the window or as close as you can get to double your window width with 2 panels (aim for 1 panel being the size of your window width fully extended, then hang 2 of that size panel and they will drape nice as well as look good open). The fabric is nice, the wrinkles fall out, and I like that you can wash them. I like the color selection and when the measurements are accurate they are great. I’m assuming I got an off batch.

Very good curtains except for my bedroom because I need 100% blackout. They do darken the room a lot, but I need a darker daytime blackout in full sun. I’m keeping the curtains I bought for my bedroom but I plan to replace them at some point soon- and AGAIN- my bedroom panels FIT, they are wider than my window but I feel that the extra width I chose is not enough, I feel strongly that I should have ordered double the width of my window. I can’t stress this enough- if you don’t like flat looking curtains, order your total panels you plan to hang whether it’s 1 or 2 or more, to equal DOUBLE the width of your window. Make sure the length is correct, and doubling the width will always look good.

I feel that these are nice looking curtains at a good value, but not 100% blackout. I will buy this brand again, just not for my bedroom where full blackout is essential.

Wife and I just remodeled a bedroom in the house and it was hard to pass these up for the price. The color is consistent and block light from coming through. I can highly recommend the gray colorway for those looking for some good blackout curtains for the bedroom.

I love these curtains. They’re so soft and thick – the quality is evident. I have several photos here.
My apartment faces east, so I get the sunrise, and super bright mornings until the sun is high enough in the sky that it’s not coming straight into my apartment.

So the first photo is of just my regular curtains closed, around 8am. These are not “sheer” curtains. They’re actually solid dark green/blue with a white coated back. When the sun hits, they are practically see-through.
When I got these new curtains, I got double rods too, SO – second pic is left side Nicetown curtains closed OVER the regular curtains, and right side ONLY the Nicetown curtains closed. Next pic, I turned off the light so you can see better. So light is still coming through, with just the Nicetown curtains alone. But compared to the first pic, it is just about night and day. Next pic is both sides, both curtains closed. Total blackout, except the light coming from above and below.
I did similar comparisons around 10am. The light comes through the Nicetown ones a little more at that hour when the daylight is less glowy and a little more bright white.
Lastly, from the kitchen I took a shot where you can see one room with the curtains wide open and also the living room with the curtains closed. I think it looks darker in this one because of how bright the other side of the photo is. It’s not actually pitch black in the other room (it’s an open room and there’s a light on) – but the difference is still huge.
SO! I will keep using my regular curtains when I just need to keep the sun from glaring in my eyes or off the screen. But if I want to have a horror movie marathon that begins at sunrise, now I can 🙂

I would recommend the double rods and a cheap set of regular curtains to go behind them if you want the light to be fully blacked out.
And the higher and longer you have the curtains, the less the light will come in from the top and bottom.
