Amazon Customer –
So poorly made that you couldnโt get the top on the handle had to shave the handle down got the screw in and it broke the first time I used it

Seems to be sturdy and of good quality. The head was easily affixed to the handle. Good enough for the job

I only gave it 4 stars because it came unassembled. You need to hammer the top blade into the wooden stick. And, it took quite a bit of pounding to get in in there. I tried it for a while and took a break. My wife tried it, and I told her that she couldn’t do it, and I was right. She gave up after a few minutes of trying. You have to really pound this thing in with another hammer. Then, there is an adjoining metal screw bracket that you screw into the wooden handle. That was another big job. I finally pulled out my channel lock pliers and squeezed it down onto the wooden handle, and that seemed to do the trick. Otherwise, you cannot screw the little screw into the handle.
That said, it looks like a good little pick axe shovel. I have yet to use it. I thought about driving a couple of nails into the top part, which would expand the wood into the metal slot. I have seen older models made like this. However, I think that just hammering it down all the way like I did will do just fine. If it starts to come out, I can always hammer some nails in there.

Perfect weeding tool
Earl –
Perfect size and weight to weed out and loosen soil. Good construction as well and was a great value for the money.

Works well. Used it recently to clear out vegetation and buried remains of an old planter from an area in back I’m now using for composting
Went together easily. Don’t try to put the metal section on over the far end of the handle. Think about it. How would such a design even work? Install it from the grip end and push it up until it stops

Great tool, just get a long handle to put on it and it will be a favorite in the garden.
Maybe a little bit small, but sometimes that is what you want to get in between plants.
Strong design and durable.

Had to pound the wooden handle through the metal fingers makes me leary of the quality of this tool. Time will tell.
