This tool works great especially if the ground is wet. Living in a desert area it’s a bit more tricky to pull some weeds. That being said, as a 78 year old 5 foot woman, I am extremely grateful for this weed tool because it takes no effort to pull weeds. One feels very satisfied after one has a heavy duty trash bag full of weeds.😎

I am a senior lady (almost 80 now), and I have to do my gardening with a chair because bending over is hard. I wanted a weeding tool that had a handle long enough to use from my gardening chair and something that was lightweight and still worked good to pull out stubborn weeds from my flowerbeds.
This tool is perfect for this, and just the right size for me to use. Amazon has them in different sizes, but I wanted one long enough to easily weed from my chair, but not one of the really long ones. This one is just over a foot long, is very sturdy; but still lightweight for me to use.
It has sharp little points and really works great to get under those weeds and pull them out by the roots ! It is also wonderful for cultivating the soil around the plants and making small holes to plant new plants in the garden.
The sharp edge will push underneath a weed and cut off the root, so it is easier to pull up when it is a weed with longer roots that won’t just pull out.
I definitely recommend one of these, and especially for senior gardeners like me.
The price was excellent as well, it is cheaper than some of the other tools like this, but is still a very well made and sturdy tool, not a cheap one.

Does this work on most weeds or grass? Simple answer is NO, it’s not a hand hoe, but… if you have CREEPING anything (like creeping Charlie weeds) BUY this! It’ll thank that out by the roots quickly and clear the whole area it has spread to in minutes! It’s a cheap (pricepoint) tool, and if you buy it for the right use or use it for light use, it’ll last. It’s sturdy as long as you are not bashing it against rocks or using it in a way it’s not meant to be used. It’s not a shovel, and not meant to be dug with. It’s small design is perfect and while it has teeth, they are meant more for pulling out shallow roots such as creeping Charlie surface roots that dont go very deep into the soil. I see the photos for it show grass and dandelion with it, not sure why that it. There’s many invasive grasses that no hand tool other then a shovel or actual sprays can remove. And for dandelions, their roots are like huge carrots underground that are super strong and require a specialized two toothed tool that goes into the ground deeply and pinches shut against their roots to remove them. Look up grandma’s dandelion tool here on Amazon (I have it and it’s amazing). Its very comfortable to hold and use with very sharp teeth making it great for usage that’s correct for it. Think of it like an extension of yourself. If you overuse or misuse it, it’ll probably not hold up, but used correctly it’ll last. For the pricepoint, its worth it. Light swings back and for make it easy to use. If you’re getting lots of resistance using it, you’re not using the right tool for your specific job.

Useful garden tool to leverage out weeds. One needs to sit on a stool for intense ground weeding. Speed of weed removal depends on how hard your soil is. So far it seems to be well made.

I bought this and was a little skeptical about it but it’s amazing. I was able to clear 3 areas in about 35 minutes. I usually have to hire someone but not anymore.
