I have a toy poodle, white with very tight curls. I thought I’d try this out on all the fur that grows around the pads of his feet. It did an OK job but took a while and still wasn’t great. So I tried a bigger blade to see if the device could handle it. It wasn’t doing such a great job on the thicker fur so I tried it on his flanks and stomach. It still didn’t do such a great job cutting so I cleaned the device up up and returned it. By that nite my little fur baby was scratching his flanks and his tummy area almost incessantly. I thought maybe it was the typical itch after a close shave but then I second thought myself remembering he didn’t get a close shave but the blade was touching his skin. The next day and for about 3 weeks my baby was scratching constantly with me treating his skin and bathing him in recommended soothing washes when it occurred to me . . . The little shaver could very well have been bought and tried on someone’s dog who had some kind of skin problem then returned without ever being sanitized or cleaned. Thus my baby endured tremendous discomfort and irritation until I found some shampoo that removes bacteria. That finally helped him. I’ve never seen him scratch so viciously and for so long. He’s only had a few fleas once in his life and he’s 9 yrs. But I realized with this occurrence if the sellers of things like this were required to sanitize items like this before reselling or if they are even allowed to resell. But I won’t be subjecting my baby boy to that kind of danger again. If we purchase these products not knowing what they’ve been subjected to we better be sanitizing them before we use them. Just something I thought you might want to consider too in case. Like me, you hadnt thought about either.

Good for little touch up until next grooming appointment. Not meant for grooming at home. Easy to use and not too noisy. Easy to clean with the given cleaning brush. Blade sharpness is ok. The clipper itself is light and fits in the palm of your hands nicely. It’s durable, I dropped it a couple of times. Still works well. I haven’t used the nail grinder yet nor charged it. Still just learning to groom my puppy.
