I took in a longhair stray cat and I only ever had shorthair cats. I was introduced to some not so fun bits remaining in the butt fur a few months ago. I only had regular scissors which did work, but shortly after I got this set of scissors. I feel much more confident using these scissors since they have the rounded safety tips. The metal comb is also really great at getting out tangles. I haven’t used the nail clipped yet, but this is a really great set for the price.

Shears seem very sturdy and they cut well. Not super lightweight shears but they aren’t crazy heavy either. The comb is metal so it is also sturdy and gets through his matted fur(husky/shepherd mix). Will be continuing to use these on his fur in the future.

I recently got a doodle puppy, my first dog that needed grooming. I got this set and have been using it to give the dog trims as needed. The scissors are sharp, comfortable to use and fit in my hand well. The comb is fantastic for getting through the doodle’s wavy coat. I haven’t needed to trim her nails yet (we walk A LOT) so I don’t have an opinion on the trimmer. For the price, an excellent set.

Excellent quality.I love the thinning shears,my doddle does not mind me using them on him.His coat looks amazing.The scissors are great as well I don’t have the fear of hurting him because of the rounded tips.

The clippers don’t open large enough for big claws. You can cut small and eat dog nails with these clippers but a German shepherd or labs claws are far too large. My Aussies nails are just barely small enough that they can clip the tips off.
The comb is OK. Comparable to the name brands, scissors are good and sharp. Thinning shears cut a bit more than my name brand ones but doesn’t leave the coat “choppy” all in all, highly recommend this set. It’s affordable and certainly work well.
