I’m a novice and mature groomer as I started grooming my doggo three months ago. Once a month I trim his fur to keep him looking fresh, good looking, and help with how much he sheds. This is technically my third machine and I have to say with each machine, the grooming becomes better. I truly love how his one has the battery percentage display and being wireless is awesome as I don’t have to deal with cords. I really enjoy using this set over the other one I have because this one has a low noise feature. It is a little more quieter in comparison to the primary machine I use. I also love how it even has a separate machine for the sensitive areas – around the eyes, ears, paws and rear end. My machine is a bit larger and bulker and makes it difficult to work around those areas. But this thins and small and light weight device is perfect. I will definitely will recommend this set to all my friends.

I purchased this product to maintain my dogs. It turned on for three minutes but would not shut off.then it turned off and no longer will turn on.

My sister and I have been trying our hand at grooming. We have ordered several grooming kits over the last several months and have been testing them. This kit is relatively inexpensive and it definitely isn’t adequate for regular grooming. However, we are using it to do a regular groom just to test it out. We both feel that it isn’t as powerful as it needs to be. We previously used a higher end Wahl corded clipper that didn’t come with combs (@$175 price range) and it was so much more powerful and smooth.

You might not think you would need more power for a small dog like her Cockapoo, but grooming takes a lot of time and the extra power just makes the job not only easier but it just moves through the hair like you need to do a good job.

So, this tool is adequate but it’s better for in between grooms – for touch ups rather than a full regular groom. If I eventually decide that I will groom my dog myself, I am definitely going to invest in a higher end model.

I have never had a dog that I had to take to be groomed-always did anything that was needed at home. Then I adopted a labradoodle who looked like a sheepdog when I got her. I knew that was way out of my expertise so off to the groomer we went! $100 without the tip! Eek! She looked so different that one of my other dogs growled at her the rest of the day! I decided that I was going to have to learn to do some maintenance between grooming appointments because $100 every month was more than my budget would allow. Right now she is about 3 weeks from her last grooming so a good time to practice. I did a bit of experimenting with the clippers and the different combs to see what works best. I find that for her really dense hair that the clipper without any comb on it works the best. I did some trimming on her face a head-she’s a bit lopsided but not bad for a first try. I used the tiny clipper to trim the insides of her ears. It worked sort of but even that hair is really thick so I’m going to play with the bigger clippers. The little one is very quiet and did not seem to bother her. I’m going to get brave and do some more on her soon. I really like that the clippers are cordless so I don’t have to worry about a dog getting tangled up in the cord. Not sure the small unit is going to prove very useful-needs to get some more use before I give up on it.
