Our Goldendoodle tends to grow a lot of fur between his paw pads, which makes him slip and slide on our tile floors. We ordered the LEYOUFU Dog Paw Trimmer with LED Light (2-Speed, Low Noise) to help manage that, and itโs been a great purchase.
The built-in LED light is super helpful for seeing exactly what you’re doing, and the low noise and gentle vibration make it much less intimidating for our dog. We took the time to get him used to the tool before trimming, and he handled it really well.
Once you get the hang of angling the trimmer correctly, itโs easy to use and works effectively. Itโs lightweight and easy to holdโfor both my daughter and me.

I ordered this trimmer not to use on my dog’s paws, but around his eyes. He is a 20 pound terrier, so he has a small-ish face. When he goes to the groomer, I usually have him cut pretty short, but the fur around his eyes grows back super quickly. There are many times when he doesn’t necessarily need another haircut but basically the dog equivalent of a “bangs trim” to keep his fur out of his eyes. I’ve always been too afraid to try scissors or a large trimmer around his eyes, but I thought I would it would be worthwhile to try this and see if it would worked.
I’m happy to report that it does! He does still get nervous when he hears the trimmer turn on; I did try to acclimate him to the trimmer by turning it on but not using it for several days before I actually used it on him. However, he tolerates it enough that I can quickly trim his “eyebrows” and keep his fur from hiding his eyes. I appreciate that the trimmer is very quiet–it is less scary for him–and it’s easy to use. I don’t use the light since I”m trimming around his eyes, but it’s a great feature for dogs with black fur. If I was trimming his paws, I would need the light to help me see. The charge lasts a long time. I’m happy I ordered this trimmer!

Honestly I’ve never cut my dog’s paw pads bc I’m precious about her but I do cut her nails do I decided to give this a try. I will say, some may cut “better” but this is strong enough, for me being hesitant I like that I felt like I couldn’t really hurt my dog’s, tried it on my border collie and my Yorkie (she hates noise but I’ll ease her in, I got a couple toes), it works great!!!!

Ingenious idea (with the light), but these don’t cut very well! I got these to use on my Aussie’s long-furred paws since they get wet, and it causes itchiness. I shave the fur a bit between the toes, and it helps a LOT with paw-licking infections, etc.
(Photo compares the two – this item is on the right) I have a larger cordless shaver that works really well, but I thought this smaller one would do the job better and more quickly. Unfortunatly, the guard is too small – meaning the slits in the metal are small/tight and make it so the fur/hair doesn’t go in very easily. You have to bear down to get it in there and to get the fur to catch, which makes it makes it kind of a pain to use.
It took me three times as long to do what would normally take a few seconds. Not because the blades are smaller than my other electric trimmer, but because the fur just didn’t catch in it or cut. It took multiple passes. Not a win, unfortunately.
LOVE the light feature on the top that illuminates what you’re cutting, though! That’s ingenious.

Bought to trim my long haired chihuahua’s paw fur. Work well, not sure how good they’d work for a larger paw. I am a professional groomer and just needed something small at home for the one pup. Are these professional grade…no, do they do the job…yes.

Don’t waste your money. Does not work as the video shows. The blade is not sharp enough to cut the hair on the paws of my westie. It’ll probably work if you have a smaller dog like a yorkie. Couldn’t return it because it was past the return window.
