This garden shovel is well made and seems to be strong enough to do what I need. It is very sharp which is good, but it is also a bit narrower than most of my garden spades were. This hampers my scooping up much material and I find myself using a second hand shovel to pick up more dirt each time. It is great for cutting through roots and things like that, but not great for shoveling potting soil out of the bag if that makes sense. Recommend this shovel as it works well for digging and cutting through weed block, etc.

For the price I am shocked how well this works! I was actually able to dig up and chop down a 5 foot tall poke weed with just this fella! It was easy to hold and chop down the stem with it’s sharpened edge and being able to dig up the massive root was easy with it as well. A really solid product 10/10 would buy again if I ever needed an additional one.

Do not buy any other shovels… Click add to cart and buy this shovel. I had concerns about the hollow handle, but this thing is sturdy. I have left my blade edge in the dirt months now and no rust. Cut away roots, pried up plants in dry dirt, and after forcefully throw it into the dirt. Typically goes 2-3 inches deep on these throws’ dry dirt, so pretty good force. The welds are done pretty well and the only con I can see is the handle wrap eventually needing to be redone. A simple home craft project to learn later.

This will be probably the last shovel you will have for your yard work. This is the only shovel I’ve had that does not bend when prying through roots in the soft soil and even harder soil. If this company or whoever makes these is smart. Further tools will be built to this standard of durability and quality. I realize an item not easily breaking means less repeat customers. Id wager you get even more sales if this was placed next to those cheap expensive options in most stores.

Well made heavy duty. Had to cut thought old roots and hard soil no problems. Pried small rocks out with it with no damage. Has a sharpened edge which held up well if it wears off a good file or grinder will restore edge lots of metal to work with.
