Kaitlin –
I just started gardening this year. I wasnโt sure which tools I needed. This helps so much with wedding, and is so easy to use. I also use it to help cut plants when I am dividing and transplanting.
Shari Lutz –
I have old hands ( ha) and find this tool easy to use and the price was really great.

I love this tool. I had another one like it but we lost it. I got this and another brand because my husband loves them too for fixing the sprinklers when they break…so we are always fighting over them. I like the width and how strong it is and it’s great if you need to cut out roots.
Daryl –
Great for metal detector and garden.
RF –
Excellent for trimming grass around concrete curbing, etc.

I can’t give this below 4 starts, I think, because it works – it does the job, does it well, and hasn’t broken on me.
The marks on it make it east to judge planting depth.
The blade cuts through some roots and all rough dirt.
The forked tip – the main reason I like the Fiskars Hori above other brands’ options – lets you snag up and pull on tougher weeds.
But the welds are VERY visible and pretty ugly and don’t look done well, so I worry about the longevity of it – though, again, I’ve had no problems yet.
This may be a Quality Control issue because I have a second one of these, also a Fiskars, that I bought in-store about two years ago which looks significantly better (none of the thick and crooked welding on the one I ordered here) and continues to perform perfectly well.
Since neither has broken, I’m sticking with 4 stars – it works great, but you may get one that looks bad, and so it may be better to buy in person or consider another brand (though that may lose the forked tip or cost significantly more – or both) if that worries you.
Bogart –
Multiple uses and very handy for planting, opening soil/mulch/seed/fertilizer bags, weeding, and other garden/yard work.
