Its nice enough, but my unit came used and returned. Works well, but I was not happy about having a used grooming unit.
The attachments are great and the unit itself is high quality, Im just disappointed that it was used. Suction is good, tools are good and its nice and quiet.

Updated: My husband tried to buzz his hair (he uses the 6mm comb) and he loves it. He said the blade is nice and sharp. He was wowed that this makes cutting his hair so much easier and faster, with practically no cleanup. All he has to do is empty the canister. He’s a major fan, even if this is supposed to be for pets. He’s been using a Wahl Creativa, but really likes the convenience of this MIU pet system better.

Note: On my dogs, this trimmed about as close as a #10 blade, which is why the placement was important. There was no blade burn. When using a comb, the placement would be easier than with a bare blade.

Original review: My dogs aren’t afraid of this because they get groomed every month already, and they’re used to the sound of clippers. They weren’t sure what they thought of the trailing hose at first, but after a swipe or two with the clippers, they figured it was the same old, same old. This is pretty quiet and easily picked up their heavier Standard Poodle hair. My only quibble is that when trimming their face and trying to clean around their eyes, it was hard to tell where the trimmer was going to cut. The way the trimmer fits into the hose adapter leaves the trimmers edge out of view and offset a bit. That said, you’d probably get used to this. This is not an adequate system for a large dog, but for trimming my guys’ faces between professional clips, it will work okay.

I also want my husband to see if this would work for buzzing his head to help make that easier to clean up. I use a Flowbee for my own haircuts and while it works great, it doesn’t work really for folks who buzz their heads. I think this one would do the trick, though. I’ll try to come back and amend this review if I get him to try it.

I’ve tried a few of these vacuums now and this one is my least favorite. The reasons being that the grooming tool would work so much better if the bristles retracted instead of the whole paddle shifting up, because it doesn’t release the hairs so they can get sucked into the vacuum (I tried to show this in the video). I’d note that the bristles themselves are flimsier than other grooming brushes I’ve used. The de-shedding tool also didn’t work as well releasing the hair unless it was really full. Otherwise, when you push the button to suck it into the vacuum, the hairs on the edges get stuck there.

The vacuum itself is pretty quiet and the dog didn’t seem to mind it on the low setting. It’s okay, but there are other units I prefer over this one.
