Clippers worked well for the first few months. However the clippers recently stopped working.

I recently purchased these budget-friendly dog clippers, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with my decision. At such a great price point, I was initially skeptical about their performance, but they have truly exceeded my expectations.

**Battery Life:** The battery life is exceptional. I was able to groom my dog completely, and the clippers still had plenty of juice left. This is a huge plus, especially for those with larger pets or multiple dogs to groom.

**Performance:** The clippers work wonderfully. They glide through my dog’s fur smoothly and efficiently without any snagging or pulling. My dog usually gets anxious during grooming, but these clippers are quiet and gentle, making the process much more comfortable for him.

My dog has fleas, and I needed to remove his fur to get to the root of the problem—that, and Milo was overdue for a haircut anyway. I’ve needed clippers for weeks and I ordered this one out of desperation. My expectations were low at first as I thought, “I only need it to sheer some of his fur, it doesn’t have to be fancy.” I was overjoyed when it finally came in the mail, and I was super excited to use them. Fast forward to after bathtime, I set everything up and was ready to shave Milo. The first thing that caught my attention though was how loud it was. Not like an overbearing loud, but it was no different than the volume levels of one you’d hear at a barber’s shop.

Bear in mind here, my dog is a 4lbs Chihuahua Mix, so the minute he heard the clippers go off, he started shaking. However, he was tame while I did what I had to do. I started off with the 0.3mm attachment which took off enough fur so that I could use the clippers without it. Once I was done, my dog went from a furry potato to a “real” chihuahua (or a bald rat, as my family likes to call him).

Other than the noise, it worked great, was super sharp (I was careful not to knick the dog—that patch in the photo is hair loss from fleas), and was overall super easy to use. I have a feeling that I would forget to charge them though…

I am really pleased that these are so great for the price. I wanted to learn to groom our new puppy instead of paying for grooming. We already have a large variety of brushes and combs so I wanted just the basic clippers. These work GREAT. I was pleasantly surprised with how long the charge lasted. On my first cutting job, our pup’s hair was pretty long and he was pretty skittish so it took me a good long time to do the job but the clippers never ran out of charge! Probably at least 45 minutes of use, perhaps more. They were charged I think about 80-85%, and when I plugged them back in after, they were at 25%. They have 2 power modes, low and high. I just used low on this first time and that was the right choice. Where I was learning and the pup was nervous, going slow was what we both needed. But it’s nice to know the higher speed option is a possibility. I would definitely recommend these, especially if you don’t need a bunch of bells and whistles (in the more expensive kits) and just want the clippers! It does come with 4 different length guards, 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, and 12mm.

My dogs have fluffy feet which not only tracks in a ton of dirt and dust but also makes them slip around. I’ve tried using scissors in the past but I could never get the fur as short as I wanted. My Bernese mountain dog has ticklish feet so I always felt like I was one kick away from cutting her or me.
I’d never used trimmers before, but I figured for 14 bucks it was worth a shot. I wasn’t expecting a lot but these are actually really great for the price.
They’re not silent obviously but they are pretty quiet. If you haven’t trained your dog to have their feet messed with obviously you’re not going to take these out of the box and use them right away. My dogs are used to me using a Dremel on their nails so the noise from this didn’t bother them. The clippers are lightweight and easy to maneuver. One charge was enough to do both of my dogs’ feet but I wouldn’t expect more than that.
If you just want to do your dog’s paws, this should be enough. But if you have a doodle or dog with thick curls this pair of clippers isn’t strong enough. They’re great for paws and tidying up the coat, not meant for taking out mats or shaving a dog completely down. They work great for my needs.
