First of all, I ordered the package deal, the one that comes with both the wide razor and 1 small razor (aka narrow blade) for the paws. However, I did not receive the small razor. Annoyed, but I ended up ordering just the small razors on their own separately. I could not return the product because I had already immediately used the large razor to cut my dog’s hair. The paws trimming was next. That’s when I saw that the small razor was missing. If you can remember to, CHECK FOR ALL PARTS RIGHT AWAY BEFORE USING.

IF MISSING items/parts are a CONSISTENT issue with this manufacturer/seller, these could be red flags that something fishy is going on. Are they doing this purposely to make consumers spend more money to buy parts that are missing?

WIDE RAZOR: As far as how well it works, I had trouble cutting cleanly with the safety sleeves on. Cuts were very patchy and sometimes it would not cut at all, and hair also gets stuck often. So I took the plastic sleeve off and it worked better; sharp, quiet and fast. Hair still gets caught, but less often. Without the sleeves on, I got a faster, cleaner cut—just be careful of nixing your dogs without the sleeves because it gets very close to the skin.

NARROW BLADE: The small razor blades for the paws seem to not cut as well in comparison. I had to go over the paws many, many times just to trim. It just would not cut through in 1 go, it took many, many rounds which made my dog more anxious having to sit through.

This cute little shaver is easy to use. we have a long hair cat that needs a little clearing away from her booty so that nothing gets stuck to it while in the cat box. This does the trick beautifully. It’s easy to use, holds the charge well and not loud so doesn’t scare the cat. We are very happy with this product.

I have an older, disabled long haired cat who struggles with grooming and gets horribly matted every spring. I have tried keeping her brushed to no avail, and eventually the mats get so large and tight to her skin that scissors are not a possibility. Last spring, I took her to the vet, the only place locally that will do cat grooming. They gave her a lion shave, but only after multiple appointments since they required her to have a full check up and all of her shots updated first. I also had to get up super early that day to give her pills to sedate her, and they gave her anesthesia when she arrived, which was nerve wracking. All that for a haircut, and the grooming appointment alone cost $300. This spring, I decided to give DIY a try. I was nervous that she wouldn’t let me since the vet made such a big deal about sedation, but surprisingly, she LOVED IT! Within a half hour of this shaver arriving at my house, all of her mats were gone. Granted, she is deaf so she couldn’t hear the noise anyway, but this shaver is very quiet and gentle. I thought the vibration might freak her out, but she purred the whole time. It must have been like a massage! 😂 She did have enough of it after a couple minutes, but most of it was done by then and the rest I could get one at a time with breaks in between.

I had also been worried about it nicking her because I have used electric shavers myself and they are often not very gentle, but this is one of the best I have tried. No nicks, no pain. I shaved straight down her body with the grain of the hair and it cut through all that fluff like butter.

This cost about $35 as opposed to $300, and no need for anesthesia. Now, we can address any future mats in minutes with no trouble. I admit that my lion shave doesn’t look as good as the vet’s did, but we’ll work on it. 😅 The shaver works great, any errors are my own!

My Ragdoll cat had a big nasty clump of matted fur which I couldn’t comb out and couldn’t cut off with scissors as it was too close to his skin, after getting a ridiculous quote for $140 from a pet groomer I decided to look into getting a pet clipper and doing it myself. Found this cute little clipper on Amazon for a very reasonable price so i thought, what the heck let’s give it a crack…and I’m SO glad I did. My cat is a very nervous and anxious little thing so he didn’t like me holding him down but he eventually gave in after a few minutes and allowed me to clip him. I only clipped the area that was matted and was amazed by how easy it was. It was very quiet and did the job quickly and beautifully! I now have a matt free cat who is currently cranky with me but he’ll get over it. If you need a simple clipper for small clipping jobs I highly recommend this clipper!
