I washed it before using and it washed up well, no shrinking or melting or damage. The one I had before was a whole mattress pad that required lifting this heavy king size posturepedic to get it up under and zip it up. I love that this is more like a fitted sheet. I’m going to order another one for my son’s bed!

It’s comfortable, and decent looking. I would say with this one you get what you pay for, which is higher quality. It’s not very noticeable when you are in bed, which is good for a protector.
