First off, the setup process was incredibly easy. I plugged the Fire TV Stick Lite into my TV’s HDMI port, connected it to my Wi-Fi, and within minutes, I was up and running. The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing me to navigate through various apps and channels with ease.

Would be better if I could pay for my subscription at the end of the month instead the industry standard beginning of the month or date paid to 30 days later just in case you didn’t grasp what I was alluding to I was charged twice 5 days apart for my subscription when I asked them they said “will we have been trying to charge you all month we tried on the 5th and we didn’t get the payment until the 22nd so that’s why we charged you again on the 27th for this month” as if we paid after the month and not before the month they try to screw me because everyone who has their account connected to EBT knows that you pay only 50% which is 754 but if you have a balance on your gift card what happens is that they’ll take the remaining balance off your gift card and they’ll consider that the payment but if they have a debit card that’s connected to the account so they’re charging you extra and they’ll give it back if you try to ask them for it but if you don’t they’ll just take the money every time and it’ll get so far ahead that they’ll charge you 99 cents twice a month just additional out of nowhere at nowhere they do that and they’ve been doing that ever since they started offering the EBT program only good thing is you only have to pay 54 a month but if you keep $2 in your gift card they’ll take that as payment every time and you only have to pay $2 for your membership so if you don’t have money just put $2 in your members and your on your gift card and you’ll get a membership for $2 and that’s it

unboxing review: easy to plug the thing into the tv. instructions tell you to use the hdmi extender cable so i did from the start, just to avoid potential issues. apparently the hdmi connection can see the remote via the tv’s remote eye, so having the fire stick on the back of the tv isn’t a problem. the remote does reach the fire stick. it took some searching through the tv’s menu to find the hdmi connection. it’s not under ‘source’ on my samsung like i thought it would be. once you find it, the first thing you have to do is pick a language. i had to call amazon and talk to a non-english-speaking person. he didn’t have the resources to even understand that the fire stick doesn’t have a screen. amazon’s fault for not teaching him well. you have to hit the house button on the fire stick remote for 10 seconds to pair the f.s. to the remote. it took him a half hour – really – to find that out & tell me. (different languages float by, all telling you to hold that button for 10 sec. had english appeared more than once, i could have avoided wasting that half hour.) pick a language; sign in with your wifi password so have that ready up front. the f.s. will have to download & install updates. it gives you a code and an amazon url. this pairs the f.s. to your amazon account. then you have to say no/yes to a couple ads (of course). say yes & you’ll get billed. next i got a blank white screen. tried every button on the f.s. remote. turned the tv and f.s. off & on. called amazon again. spent another hour with a competent employee, returning to the blank white screen again. she said her only option to offer was a return or refund. talked to a supervisor, same answer. apparently there’s some kind of system-wide problem reported by many customers who were stopped by the same white screen that blocked me. they have no idea when it will be fixed. supervisor said he had no other options – no coupon, rebate or amazon balance contribution. funny how that major event happened on the same day the f.s. arrived at my house. i know it’s not in the supervisor’s control. he didn’t even have a higher supervisor or escalator to ask. amazon is perfectly happy to sell me/you something defective & leave me/you hanging without compensating us at all. i’ll update when something changes.
