I’ve been on Roku for years now, and it just cannot compare to this device. It costs a lot more, but for good reason. Not only is the interface worlds better, the quality of the picture is miles ahead, and I very rarely get a buffering delay now, which happened often with Roku on the same network and from the same content providers.

If I could deduct a half-star for this particular model, it would be for the remote. The trackpad is really elegant, but they did much better with the next generation remotes. This one has no dedicated power button and no mute button (!)

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLERWhen I opened the package to my Apple TV and saw the product I noticed it was beaten up pretty badly and was refurbished. Plugging it into any tv it causes a buzzing noise that is extremely loud and noticeable so they did a poor job refurbishing it. Also, the profile did not state that it was a 1st generation Apple TV.

I’m glad to have a 4k Apple TV but apparently it’s not a late enough model to use with some new applications (like zoom). Otherwise, works great!
