Worked for1 year and 10 months. I had a great run with these. Very comfortable can wear for 12 hour sessions. I wear them for work. I am in customer service so on them frequently, 2-12 hr shifts and 3-6.5 hour shifts weekly. They’ve held up pretty well for the use. I did have some problems losing connection on ports and Hercules, but I think that was a software issue, not the headphones. I would purchase the warranty offered here if you want them to last longer. I am purchasing another pair. One last note: the noise cancellation was great at first, but the last year has not been so great.
Design is super comfy for long intense sessions. They don’t get heavy or slip off easily. Yes, look straight down or back too far, they’ll fall off, but regular wear, no. They are soft and well cushioned.
Good bang for the buck. Skip the $30-60 range. From experience these don’t work long term and become uncomfortable quickly.
Clarity-sound is great. Controls are easy. They are on the earphone itself. No fighting with cords to find controls. Volume and mute is found by touch. Volume on right (dial) and mute (button) on left.
Cord is long and braided, so you don’t have to worry about breakage. It does get twisted for me, but I’m constantly moving around. I just let the cord unwind on my lunch break and after shift.
Photos are after 1y 10m use.

Excellent sound and fit! I opted for a wired controller to avoid any connection issues. The sound is very good. The mic picks up good and the couple times I’ve asked other players how the voice was, they said was good. The fit is comfortable, adjustable and well padded. The mic indicates “off” with a little red dot. I do wish it flipped up or something, but it’s a brief button press to turn on / off so no complaints really. It’s on a bendy thing so you can adjust the mic position fully.

I think that they finally made the perfect gaming headset. They have always been the best in class regarding sound quality at this price point. The multiple iterations of the Cloud have largely been the company slowly addressing points of failure and upgrading things like its connectivity and surround-sound software. In the original Clouds, the hinge that attached the earcup to the headphone band was external and held in place by a cheap plastic piece that eventually just cracked over time regardless of how careful you were. This was the most common point of failure, so they changed it. The Cloud 2 had the first internal hinge on the earcup and it solved the problem perfectly. Unfortunately, it merely moved the common failure point up the headband to the cheap plastic cuff that they used to secure the metal forks to the rest of the headband. In the Cloud 2, this plastic cuff would eventually break even with very careful treatment due to the torque that is placed on it so that the earcups conform to people’s heads. In the Cloud 3, they finally got it right: Internal cup hinges with a metal cuff to attach the ear forks. Perfect. I keep examining these for the next probable point of failure and I really can’t think of any. So, now you can get some of the best sound in the industry in a tank-like package that should last ages. They finally ditched the foam pop filter, which I never had a problem with but might degrade over time. The new mic is still decent but probably not the best sound quality in comparison to some competitors.
Probably one of the coolest things that I did not expect was that the receiver dongle comes with an extension that allows for either USB-C or USB connectivity. If I were to wager, this is the most likely point of failure if you use this with a laptop or are taking the dongle out frequently because it is a little delicate and long with the USB-A attachment on. It is a really cool feature that expands the headset’s compatibility with recently released laptops with only USB-C ports.

I’ve been using the HyperX Cloud III Wireless primarily for gaming, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The headset is extremely comfortable, even during long gaming sessions, and the sound quality is top-notch—especially if you play competitive shooters like I do.
I mostly play CS2 (Counter-Strike 2), and with this headset, I can clearly hear footsteps and pinpoint enemy directions. That level of audio clarity has honestly given me a bit of an edge during matches.
The detachable microphone is a great touch. I don’t always need a mic, so being able to remove it easily is super convenient. The mic itself also works well when I do use it—clear voice, no static or weird feedback.
Battery life is another big win. I only have to charge it once every few days, even with regular use. That’s something I really appreciate, since I hate constantly plugging things in.
If you’re a gamer looking for a reliable, wireless headset with great sound, long battery life, and a flexible mic option, this one’s a solid choice.

I love this headset. I’ve used this headset (wired version) for almost 2 years now and I’ve had absolutely no issues. The audio quality is well more than enough for most people, even when it comes to music (with these, I can hear “new” parts of songs that I can’t in, say, my airpod pros). They are very comfortable, although not quite as comfortable as some other headphones such as the Razer Krakens. The earcups are a bit smaller than I was used to, but I got used to it pretty quickly and they dont bother me even if I have them on for hours. The detachable microphone is also quite good and has a mute feature. These headphones are slightly pricy, but I think they’re worth the higher quality than some other more budget friendly options.
