I needed something that would be an upgrade from my old/regular resistance bands that you have to step on etc. for workouts and wanted to find something that would provide improved resistance training that I could do at home, in a small space, since the gym or home gym with free weights etc. isn’t an option right now, so I thought I’d give this a try, and it more then fits the bill!

I find that the option to use the “notches” on the bands is genius, since you can get decent eccentric resistance since you’re able to have some tension throughout most movements. Something I was not able to achieve with other resistance bands that had almost nothing until you were halfway to the concentric contraction because of the length (and no base to attach the bands too). Since starting with the EVO, and it’s ability for many various resistance exercises for the whole body, I’ve already noticed good gains
and definition In my muscles and overall fitness. I’m a skinny-ish older guy, so I’ve also been adding a lot of protein and some extra calories to my diet to maximize my results.

The build quality of the base and accessories is great, and all the printed info received with the product, the online videos from Mitchell (the owner) are really very helpful for a basic overview of what you can do with the EVO.
Also their customer service has been really great and quick to respond (thanks Jim Reyes) with some of my questions etc.

I saw some other reviews regarding people having frustrations with changing the bands on the base between exercises, and I get it, it’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you “get it” it’s not really that bad at all, and you’ll get fast at it (look at it as your rest time between sets).
But I do agree that the door anchor/band connection bracket can be bit “clunky” to work with, but it’s pretty ingenious for how it can work with the notched bands, but yeah, I do struggle with it at times.

I also really appreciate that Nomadix makes sure you are very aware of the limitations of resistance bands, unlike other companies that usually just gloss over this, or don’t even make you aware that as these latex bands get older, or are pushed beyond their ability they may snap. it’s happened to me with other ones I’ve had, and yeah, it’s jarring, but that’s just the reality of these things. Just got to remember to try to inspect them as best you can for wear etc.
At least Nomadix offers FREE replacements if a band should break, or is received with any issues!

This is a well-made product. You can do many effective exercises with it. There is a learning curve, but that would come with any such band-based equipment. My reason for 4 rather than 5 stars has less to do with the equipment than the relatively limited selection of learning materials that comes with it. There are YouTube videos which are helpful but they could be a bit more systematic in how they present information (their planning, explanations, and video direction). Most importantly, it would be great if there could be a few workout videos to follow. I would even pay for high quality ones. Overall, a very good product that I hope continues to get accompanied exercise tutorials.

I bought this because I am injured and can’t go to the gym. I like the variety of exercises I can perform and still get a decent workout.

The only con I have so far is that the loops come out of the platform quite easily. I wish there was some sort of locking mechanism as thos can be quite dangerous.

Other than that I’m quite happy with the purchase.
