Jumped on the middle age women weighted vest band wagon and I’m happy I did. First the pros. Although I haven’t actually weighed it, I find the vest to be at the very least close to the weight it says it is (16lb). It fits nicely over my shoulders and there is no under arm rubbing or chafing. It is comfortable to wear. The cons. It has a smell. I am hoping the more I use it and air it out, the less it will smell. Very chemically. And it can’t be washed. The chest straps are kind of awkward. I haven’t quit managed to find the perfect tightness that doesn’t cause some rubbing. That said, I like the vest, like the weight distribution and am happy with the purchase.

Great product. Fits well, comfortable, easy to use right out of the box. No smell as others have commented. First walk with vest was 3 miles, no issues at all, fit well, did not rub, weight evenly distributed.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I liked the way it looked versus others because it rides high and does not come too far down my back or chest. The price was right as well for the 12 pound vest, because I had a $45 gift card I needed to use. I walk my dogs at least a couple times a day (six miles total) and I’ve been hearing Dr. Andrew Huberman talk about the benefits of walking with a weighted vest. I’ve included a couple of photographs to show how it rides kind of high, but it’s very comfortable. I had a difficult time getting it on because I have a nearly 50 inch chest and I am 5‘9“ tall to help you judge how it will look on you. The 12 pounds seems very light for a nearly 200 pound guy, so it probably is best for a small dude and ladies at this weight. Someone mentioned that it has an odd smell. It is not a bad smell, it’s kind of like a new car or new workout gear smell. Kind of industrial, but not unpleasant.
