This is a very nice watch for the money. It has a decent weight to it and the finish is nice. I think it punches far above its price point. I’d even say it looks more premium than my Timex easy reader that costs about double. I put it on a tweed strap and I think it looks unique and cool. Def recommend any of these Timex expedition series watches.

Decent watch for the price. The Timex Expedition line is fairly comfortable, the dial is very easy to read. The Indiglo backlight is very bright and helps in low light situations. I’ve been wearing this watch on and off for a while seems to keep decent time. The beige dial has a good vintage vibe to it as well. The mechanism is a little loud when ticking, im guessing it’s due to the brass case? But all in all a decent daily watch that does the job.

Fedele alle immagini, sorpreso dalla retroilluminazione che è anche divertente. Più pesante di quanto immaginassi ma questo conferisce più serietà ad un prodotto di ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

I’ve worn this watch for 5 days now and I like it. I use it as an everyday work watch and I haven’t had any problems with it. It has a functioning date indicator on it and has a toggle glow in the dark function. The numbers are very readable and I don’t have to squint to read the time. It fits perfectly fine and you can adjust it to the size of your wrist. It’s 40mm in diameter so it’s a decent size. I like the size for what it is because I don’t like anything below 40mm. The watch is a little thick which is good because it can take some scrapes and scuffs here and there and still work fine. Lastly, I don’t know why so many people are complaining about the noise level of the ticking. It’s almost unnoticeable unless you really put your ear to it to hear it. Unless you’re audibly looking for it (or place it by your ears) you’re not going to really hear it in my opinion.

Overall I think it’s a great watch for the price and for what I was looking for. It’s not something to be fancy or stylish; just functional and simple. It’s a cheap watch that doesn’t necessarily feel too cheap to wear. Thankfully it hasn’t broken on me or stopped working randomly on me or anything like that and even after I’ve set it I barely have to go back and adjust the time. It will sometimes get off by a few seconds after some days but that’s not an issue for me and is an easy fix.

I absolutely love this watch! For me, it is slightly on the larger size, although not a large watch. I love the style, and face, the strap, and the mat gun-metal. If you could only buy one watch, get this! I’ve worn it camping, to important events, and no watch makes me feel more ready for the day than this watch. Though it’s not the most formal watch, I think it can be a very good daily (as it’s my daily). It was the first nice watch I’ve purchased, and I feel that it was money very well spent! My perfect watch would be this one, if it has a day-date, rather than just the date. I use 24hr time, so having it on the face is premium. Over all, this watch punches way above it’s weight in terms of quality, style, and function. I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a solid daily watch. P.S. This is a real review written by a very happy customer lol!

As someone who’s relatively new to the world of watches and primarily used my phone for time-telling (and formerly a smart watch), the Timex Expedition Scout 40mm has been a pleasant revelation. I wasn’t looking for anything overly fancy or complicated, just a reliable analog watch to help me cut down on my phone screen time, and this watch delivers perfectly.

The 40mm size is just right for my wrist – it’s noticeable without being bulky. The design is classic and rugged, making it versatile enough for everyday wear, whether I’m at work or out on a casual adventure. The clear, easy-to-read dial with its distinct hands makes telling time at a glance effortless, which was a major goal for me.

One of the best features, especially for someone trying to distance themselves from digital distractions, is its sheer simplicity. It’s a watch that just tells time, and it does it perfectly. No notifications, no apps, just a straightforward, dependable timepiece. This has genuinely helped me be more present and less reliant on my phone throughout the day.

The build quality feels solid for the price point. It’s comfortable to wear, and the Indiglo backlight is a fantastic addition for checking the time in low-light conditions. For anyone new to analog watches, or simply looking for a robust, no-frills watch that encourages less phone dependency, the Timex Expedition Scout is an excellent, reliable, and fun choice. It’s a fantastic entry point into traditional timekeeping!

The Quality was exactly the standard that timex set for the most affordable, most durable, most useful, most attractive watches in the industry. I’ve owned this one since 2022.
I have to say it’s all of the above WITH ONE EXCEPTION: The Indiglo never worked from the moment I took it out of the box. I didn’t think anything of it. I thought it was another diluted standard brought on by the corporate enshitification so pominent in the world today. I WAS WRONG!

    For under 35$, who cares?

It’s 2025 and I’m buying another one. I put this thing through hell.

I work on Industrial Refrigeration and Mechanical Infrastructure. I’m rough on everything I own and my hands and arms are exposed to 130 degree F Condesner relief temps regularly, 170 degree F Asphalt Equipment Pads (on which I stand for hours in the direct sunlight) in 115 degree F Ambient air temps all while keeping track of timing of sequences of operations, using My Timex as my number-one tool for keeping track of that kinda stuff. Diagnosis would not happen without it.

Accuracy: Hmm. a little behind the iphone weekly or monthly; loses about 5 minutes a month? maybe less. Either way, when I was trying to set it to the current time the other day, I pulled the crown right out of the watch to try and set the time. I put it back in and committed to purchasing another one. The crown is still in there, the watch still is keeping time (more slowly) and I just can’t update the time it has lost. So in a month or so from now, it will be too far behind the actual time to be useful for me.

    Very well worth the cost!
