Invicta Men’s 5053 Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch by Invicta

I couldn’t be more pleased with the Invicta Pro Diver model 9094. Mine shipped with no blemishes or imperfections. The watch came in the official yellow Invicta box with the yellow plastic Invicta name tag wrapped around the bracelet. The watch face, back, and band were covered in protective film.

For the last 10 years I have been wearing an Invicta Pro Diver model 9937. I loved the 9937 but moisture got inside and fogged the crystal about a month ago. I tried a couple things like drying it with a hair dryer and even removing the back and reapplying silicone grease to the gasket, but no luck.

I planned to buy another 9937. I wanted to stick with a stainless band automatic dive watch with a see-through back case. The 9937 is the same price it was 10 years ago and is a great value at less than $250 for a Swiss SW200-1 movement. The current 9937 is essentially the same as the one I bought in 2013, but with one change: The “SWISS MVMT” marking at the bottom of the face is no longer there. 🙁 The 9937 still has the “SWISS MOVEMENT” marking engraved on the case back, but the marking removed from the face is a disappointment to me. It’s a minor detail, but I know it would bug me every time I looked at the watch.

While I was deciding whether to buy a new 9937 anyway, my daughter got a Tissot Seastar 1000 36mm. The Tissot is a Swiss made dive watch with a similar style to the Invicta Pro Diver.  It’s hundreds of dollars more than the Invicta Pro Diver watches and is very high quality, though it has a quartz movement. Her Tissot has a blue face and bezel and is very attractive and I liked the look. I wasn’t sure if I would tire of the blue face and bezel over time but decided to give the Invicta 9094 a try since it was only $72.

Wow, I am impressed! In direct sunlight, the face has an iridescent deep blue shimmer that changes depending on the viewing angle. The bezel is a slightly lighter shade of blue in the sunlight. Out of direct sunlight, the color difference between the face and bezel is more noticeable, with the face being a dark blue and the bezel a light blue. Looks great either way, but if you want to show it off, it’s amazing in direct sunlight. The blue is a bit “blingy” compared to the black watch I replaced but I love it so far.

Appearance-wise, the 9094 is almost identical to my 9937. Same size, face, hands, and markings. The bracelets are both solid-link oyster-style with brushed outer finish and shiny center finish, but the 9937 has thicker links – 4mm vs. 3.5mm. I weighed both watches and the 9937 is 145 grams compared to 139 for the 9094. I assume most of that is due to the heftier band on the 9937. The 9094 feels just as substantial as the 9937 on my wrist.

I was skeptical going from the Swiss SW200-1 movement to the Japanese Seiko NH35A movement. Out of the box, my 9937 was slow by about 12 sec/day. It stayed like that for a few months. I unscrewed the back and adjusted it and got it to about 6 sec/day slow. In comparison, the 9094 has been running about 3.5 sec/day fast out of the box. I’m shocked it’s that good. It took 17 days before it was 1 minute fast.

At $72, this was more a temporary experiment (to see if I liked the blue face/bezel as opposed to black) than a permanent replacement for the 9937, but for now I’m in no rush to get anything else. The 9937 did have that “Flame Fusion” crystal which remained scratch-free for 10 years despite being somewhat of a beater watch. Time will tell if the mineral crystal on the 9094 will remain scratch-free as well.

Bottom line, I don’t know how Invicta can make such a quality automatic watch at this price.

Prima di tutto, voglio che la gente sappia questo orologio è un orologio stupendo. Perciò, se avete dubbi su questo orologio, vi posso assicurare che è un ottimo prodotto, costruito benissimo e con precisione. Questo a me è arrivato oggi, ma ne possiedo già un altro uguale da un anno…. con Dial e lunetta blù e dettagli Disney topolino davvero molto particolare, e che certamente non poteva mancare nella mia collezione personale…. perciò posso giudicare questo pro-Diver a pieni voti! Si presenta molto elegante, massiccio ma molto leggero al polso…e per quanto sia un bell’ orologio così costruito con precisione e dettagli ben rifiniti, lascia la sensazione di avere un costo molto più elevato rispetto ai poco più di 100,00 € che l’ho pagato. Ragazzi, se siete in cerca di un bell’orologio, con un ottimo meccanismo e bello massiccio come questo, siete nel posto giusto! Se invece, siete alla ricerca di un orologio uguale al Rolex submariner, dovete andare a spendere migliaia di euro in più perché questo è un orologio BELLISSIMO, ma non ha nulla a che vedere con il rolex submariner. A me piace moltissimo, e ho voluto averlo nella mia collezione personale, proprio perché è un orologio originale, che non ha nulla a che vedere con i più blasonati…. certi lo chiamano “Homage ” io invece lo chiamo Invicta pro-Diver 89260B perché è così che si chiama! Lo adoro!! Quanto ai tempi di spedizione, qui sono molto deluso… acquisto in amazon dal 2010, e non ho mai avuto problemi di spedizione…. questa volta ho acquistato questo orologio, che sarebbe dovuto arrivare il 24 Settembre, e invece la spedizione era in ritardo marcio… per di più ho dovuto combattere con il servizio clienti dovendo spiegare l’italiano agli operatori stranieri…. che operano per l’Italia, ma non capiscono la nostra lingua!! Meno male che alla fine mi è arrivata la notifica domenica 29 mattina, dove risultava in consegna e così è stato poco dopo pranzo….. buon acquisto a tutti! 😉🤙

5 Seiko ( 3 solaires, une SUP086P1 avec calibre Seiko V115, une Diver’s Chrono SSC017P1 avec calibre Seiko V175, une SNE097P1 avec calibre Seiko V158, une mécanique Seiko 5 de la série SNK80xK2 avec calibre automatique Seiko 7s26 21 rubis, 1 quartz Sportura Chrono SNAE67P1 avec calibre 7T62 ), 1 Lip ( 10513822 quartz Chrono avec vraisemblablement un calibre Citizen ), 1 Bulova ( mécanique 96A136 avec calibre automatique Citizen / Miyota 9015 / 8250 21 rubis ), 2 invicta ( mécaniques, une 8928 et cette 8926 avec calibre automatique Seiko ( SII ) NH35A 24 rubis ). Pour l’instant, toutes ces montres fonctionnent très bien.

Ceci étant dit, parlons de l’Invicta 8926 qui est un clone de mon Invicta 8928 ( La bicolore or et argent avec lunette et fond bleu ) en un peu moins bling bling. : )

Invicta, ancienne société suisse rachetée par des fonds américains. Montre hommage à un modèle très connu et à la marque à La couronne, elle-même copiée sur une montre suisse en son temps de marque Blancpain. Je dis hommage, car rien ne laisse supposer que c’est une copie. Marque Invicta et logo très différents sur les boîtiers, trotteuse, fond de boîtier transparent (qui permet de voir fonctionner un mouvement mécanique automatique avec réserve de marche de 48 heures de marque Seiko ( SII ), modèle NH35A avec stop secondes customisé, côtes de Genève, ” Invicta watch group “, ” USA Product design “, ” 24 jewels ” sérigraphiés sur le système de remontage automatique) et bracelet ainsi que marque Invicta gravée sur le coté gauche du boîtier. Montre livrée dans une boîte jaune de bonne facture avec intérieur en peau de chamois, notice d’utilisation ( en anglais ) et carte de garantie constructeur de 1 an non remplie. Heure extrêmement visible la nuit et ceci sur une longue durée. En cas de soucis, Amazon s’occupe de tout. Le poids de cette montre est de 153 grammes avec tous ses maillons ( Chaque maillon pèse 5 grammes ). Etanche à 20 ATM, soit 200 m. Lunette unidirectionnelle. Attention aux rayures sur le verre qui est un verre tout simple. C’est une montre à couronne vissée, donc pensez à dévisser la couronne avant de la mettre à l’heure et à la bonne date et revissez la couronne à fond sans forcer ensuite. Comme j’ai achetée cette montre directement chez Amazon et non pas dans la galerie marchande, j’ai donc reçu une facture avec TVA du montant que j’ai payé, soit 86 euros frais de port inclus. Rapport qualité / prix imbattable à mon humble avis sauf peut-être chez Orient ( Une marque de Seiko réservée au marché asiatique et trouvable sur Amazon ) et Gigandet.

Les différences avec mon Invicta 8928 achetée il y a 7 mois ( payée 91 euros ) sont minimes. Lunette beaucoup plus difficile à tourner, un petit rodage s’impose. Garantie 1 an sur la 8926 au lieu de 2 ans sur la 8928 et boîte d’aussi belle qualité mais beaucoup plus petite en largeur et en profondeur sur la 8926 ( Voir photos jointes. 8928 à gauche, 8926 à droite ). Attention, contrairement à la photo qui représente une 8926OB ( c’est parfois difficile de s’y retrouver avec les références Invicta ), la lunette a une forme légèrement différente et le boîtier fait 40 mm de diamètre et non pas 42 mm de diamètre comme indiqué dans les spécifications.

Vous pourrez prendre votre douche, vous baigner et descendre jusqu’à environ – 30 – 35 mètres avec cette montre. Si vous souhaitez descendre plus bas, il faudra bien entendu opter pour une montre plus onéreuse, votre vie en dépend. N’oubliez pas que pour avoir une montre mécanique qui tient bien dans le temps, elle doit toujours être en fonctionnement, donc si vous avez plusieurs montres mécaniques, un remontoir à montres s’impose. Une large gamme de remontoirs est disponible sur Amazon. Hormis cela, ma 8928 perd 10 secondes par semaine, ce qui est assez exceptionnel pour une montre mécanique, surtout à ce prix. Merci au calibre Seiko / SII NH35A.

I purchased this watch about three weeks ago and absolutely love it. There is nothing not to like about this watch. The packaging is nice and acceptable and doesn’t look bad or cheap.
The watch itself is beautiful. I was really taken by its solid look and feel. This watch is hand wound which is a big plus compared to most other automatic watches out there double or sometimes triple the price.
The watch measures 40 mm across the dial( without the crown) The crown is a push-down which ensure its water resistance. The bezel on this watch is unidirectional and a little hard to turn and needs some getting used to. So far the time loss on this watch has been 4 – 5 seconds per day which is phenomenal. This is what one would expect from Rolex Submariner.

I highly recommend this watch.
