Similar to the Amazon tablets from years ago, not many additions already downloaded, but many options to download to the tablet. I definitely recommend the cover to protect the tablet and stand the tablet up if going out to eat or doing activities if little ones will be using. I like how you are able to change settings for the little ones, and set up device options based on the user.

My son absolutely loves his Amazon Tablet. He had the last version and wore it completely out so it was time to upgrade to the latest one! Now, my son is 10, almost 11, and Autistic so even though it says for 2-8 yrs, I highly recommend this one for even older kids as its lightweight, easy to carry, has an upgraded, thicker outside case, so I don’t worry too much about the drops that occur frequently. This is kid-friendly, you have the option to add your child’s profile, or use your own, you can switch from one to the other. Tons of games to choose from in apps store, most are free, and I think we will be buying this brand for a long time to come. It’s been 5 years now and I’m very pleased with both his Amazon 8 and 10 Fire HD tablets. Highly recommend! Great price too-can’t afford expensive. High quality for the price! The battery last usually the entire day, 8-10 hours it will stay on, so excellent for long road trips!

This has got to be the greatest invention known to Man. This one device keeps my daughter occupied for hours. She can watch movies play games pretty much do everything that my all my childhood toys combined could do and then some. If you’re gonna buy it, get it with the kids subscription.
