Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet, built for relaxation, 10.1″ vibrant Full HD screen, octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB, Black by Amazon

I have an 11th generation Amazon Fire HD 10 and I wanted a newer version of a tablet. Not necessarily Amazon. I did my research and didn’t make a decision for a week or so. I decided to stick with the same tablet just the newest model bc I had zero issues with my older one and I had it for years. Plus, I subscribe to Kindle and I shop on Amazon often. It just made sense. I will “warn” you in case you don’t read everything, you CAN’T download any app that you want on this product. The ONLY Playstore is Amazon. Nothing else. That might not be good for a lot of people. These are the apps I use and have been able to download onto this tablet: OneNote, OneDrive, Instagram, Facebook Lite, Zoom, Sirius XM, Hulu & Netflix. Of course, you can download other apps. I recommend a quick Google search to see if the apps you want can be downloaded onto this tablet. On the 11th generation I was able to download Tidal, it’s a music app. It’s not available on this one. Why? I have no idea. There are features that I absolutely love. It is much faster than the 11th generation and it turns on a lot quicker. You can do split-screen with 2 windows. I use that all of the time. I read my Kindle books. I want a Kindle but the screen is too small. This works great for reading. It has a dark mode setting which I use for everything & you could use when reading so it’s not too bright at night. The price, for me, was a little high, that’s the only reason I didn’t get the Amazon Fire 11. As far as the ads go, DO NOT pay for No Ads. The ad is literally when you first turn it on or after sleep mode and you “wake” it up. It doesn’t bother me at all. The weight is a little lighter than my previous one. Set-up was quick & simple. Battery lasts forever. I played music for about 4 hours and it didn’t need to be recharged after. The sound quality is amazing. The picture is amazing. Crisp. Clean. Vibrant. You can tell its built with good quality products. It’s not cheaply made. It would be great for kids too. They would have fun watching movies or playing games on it. Honestly, it has everything that I need. I don’t do anything major on it or use it for hours a day. I might use it one hour a day or not at all for a day or 2. If you need something for work or to download any app possible this isn’t the tablet for you. It’s perfect for me, that’s why I bought a newer version. I have zero complaints and absolutely recommend the Amazon Fire HD 10 (13th generation) tablet.

I have purchased this tablet (in new condition) two times so far (and a third one in refurbished condition on way) So why I like this tablet?
1. Last year I purchased this tablet (with amazon magnetic cover) and my wife has been using it to watch her shows while cooking in the kitchen (doesnt mean I dont cook – I just dont watch, lol) She told it serves her entertainment purposes quite well.
2. I recently saw a colleague bring his iPad with bluetooth keyboard & pen and saw how he uses it as a mini PC. I liked the idea. At the same time I see this tab again go up on discount & I decided to buy all the three(tab, keyboard cover & pen) I am typing this review from this new setup
3. I am going to give the refurbished tab to my mom for her digital content watching when it arrives

what I like & dislike so far?
1. The price to value is very high. The tablet is decent for its price segment & throw the keyboard cover, it has made a decent compute device(email, browse, banking etc) which is way better than the chromebook I have. I have sideloaded the google playstore & have access to millions of the apps which we use. Otherwise amazon’s app store is stunted & not useful for making this a business device
2. The setup is small yet useful. Unlike iPad which is not only bulkier and heavier, my whole tab+keyboard+pen doesnt feel heavy at all. I like the display clarity even though its just 1080P
3. I dont like how amzon locks its default apps and also doesnt allow us to modify the launcher app. I am a heavy customizer & use Nova for making sure my phones/tablets look the way I want it to be. But amazon dont let me get there by default. The sad part is, their default launcher is crappy & built for showing the ad’s.

For someone who is fully into Amazon ecosystem, this device just works. From connecting to a saved WiFi network to logging into default account, amazon has made many things seamless. But for someone like me, who hates getting caged in the OS, I give four stars.

Love how nice the screen comes in. So easy to read books with the kindle app. Would highly recommend to family and friends! The durability has been amazing so far. I was lucky to get it on sale but would totally pay full price for this! It is such a great value!
