It’s a great phone for the price and the features you get are great. It has a headphone jack! And SD card expansion which are becoming more rare as we go forward and regress by removing things instead of adding and improving. The screen is 120hz and is very easy on the eyes, the colors are pleasing to look at with the anti glare screen. The camera is amazing on this phone and has pretty good filters to play with if you are into that stuff including the paper filters. It does slow motion video as well. Clearly the main feature is the E paper like display(it’s an lcd not an e-ink) it has a button on the side to put it in the e paper mode and it’s very good for when you want to read or general use in color e paper mode

I’m a week away from 45 years old. Until about 18 months ago, I had never broken, or even damaged a phone. Since then, I have lost so many phones. For a long while, I was simply buying refurbished versions of the same phone. I took a gamble on this phone. $250 with $25 ‘coupon’. I was ultra skeptical of a new phone at such a low price. I’ve now had it for over a full day, could not be more shocked at how good a phone it is, regardless of its price point. I’m a Samsung person, not an apple person. But has done everything I need it to do, YouTube, light gaming, etc., at the same performance as a Samsung s24 ultra. Lastly, the ‘kindle’ display functionality should not be underestimated. Even in normal mode, the display is much easier on my eyes. I very highly recommend. Of course, with a disclaimer of it only having been 24+ hours.
Update: coating on the screen is very easily damaged. enormous struggles connecting to my wifi. equal struggles using mobile network. more often than not, fails to load full webpages as a result of the above. I’m not entirely dissatisfied, simply very disappointed. it is not a replacement for even a base smartphone. I would rate it much lower if not for the price.

I upgraded to this from their older model TCL 20 SE 64GB RAM + 128GB ROM purchased back in 2021.
So far I only see pros with the smart phone after owning it for over 1 week. Display is very clear and I can go from one app to another very fast and rarely any lag. Camera and video quality is very good. The phone is great value for anyone that dislike paying a lot of money for unlocked phones from major manufacturers.
I currently use Google Fi 5G and it works great with the phone. I used the E-SIM to setup with Google Fi services.

Great phone.
The phone works flawlessly. I’m very impressed with the design that combines unlock button with a fingerprint reader.
The screen looks great.
The only suggestion I have: it would be nice to have a bar with the buttons like Samsung has that would allow you to see a running applications with the press of this button. Right now you chave to scroll from the bottom of the screen to do it and sometimes you have to scroll a couple of times to get it.

This seems to be the new TCL “flagship” phone. It has some nice features such as paper mode with 26 days standby, esim, supporting memory card, 3.5 mm earphone, etc. On the other hand it doesn’t have wireless charging so that it’s not supporting magsafe. It’s made in Indonesia versus made in China and the antutu score is about the 405k. Video shooting in 720p is lousy and the sound effect of the sample is hollow and unreal. I need to further test on 1080p to see if it’s acceptable. I know for a $200 range budget phone I cannot expect it to perform as good as Samsung s25 ultra. Overall a new budget phone that’s worth trying.

It’s an interesting phone in terms of you having the ability the use it as a regular color phone (non-reflective screen), a black and white phone for less strain on the eyes, or a full-on e-ink type device for better battery life. But good luck getting phone service if you want to use the e-sim on it! The phone says it has e-sim capability and a place in settings to add one. But I tried one service – they have no record of this phone and will not allow it to be attempted. Another service? Says the IMEI number on this is “locked”. Another? “No e-sim capability for this device”. So it might be a nice phone if I could put service on it!
Decent battery, interesting display, good price, but if you can’t put phone service on it, it’s basically just a small wifi only tablet. On some other “not ready for prime time” observations, though: Even when the adaptive brightness is turned OFF, the display in color mode will go dim and bright, up and down, on it’s own. Even when you manually adjust it and leave it, with again, the adaptive option off, it still does this. The screen looks fine otherwise when viewing straight-on, but when viewed at even the slightest angles, it dims quickly. The phone also warms up quickly when doing even basic things for a short period of time – it doesn’t get “hot”, but gets noticeably warm quick.
I’ll update this if things change, but between the varied small glitches on this phone and the inability to use e-sim with any of the several services I TRIED to sign up for, I cannot recommend this at this time.

I’ve had the TCL XE 60 for a few weeks now, and honestly? I’m impressed. For the price, this phone punches way above its weight. The camera is the real star—crisp shots, vibrant colors, and it handles low light way better than I expected. I’ve been snapping everything from sunsets to selfies, and it rarely disappoints.
Performance-wise, it’s smooth. Apps open quickly, no lag when I’m multitasking, and the battery life holds up through a full day of use. The screen is bright and clear, perfect for streaming or scrolling. It’s not trying to be a flagship, but it doesn’t feel cheap either.
If you want a solid phone that nails the basics and gives you a camera you’ll actually enjoy using, the TCL XE 60 is a great pick. I’m loving it.
