This product is great! It stops a plug(like hair dryer) that takes too much that could be dangerous, though it doesn’t allow it to work again if unplugged and later plugged back in. I love that it has several plugs.

Finally decided to do something about it. The outlet has six various intermittent duty devices that I plug in and out as needed. A royal PITA! Some are straight 2-prong plugs, some are regular-sized (aka huge) wall warts, and some are smaller right angle wall warts that are all oriented the wrong way.
Decided to get this extender for its 8 outlets AND the wide spacing to accommodate wall warts. I was able to plug everything in with a couple spares. Now the area looks a lot cleaner. The extender has a power switch on the bottom, opposite the USB ports which is kind of nice. Don’t think I’ll ever intentionally turn it off though or actually use any of the USB ports for charging since I have that covered elsewhere.
One note of caution – as with all of these Chinese outlet extenders, I would NEVER use them with any device that pulls even a moderately reasonable amount of current. Even from one outlet. I’m pretty sure the internal soldering quality leaves much to be desired and if you pull current through this, things will heat up and potentially create a fire hazard. Having two or three wall warts that are intermittent duty shouldn’t be a problem though.
My only complaint, which extends across 99.9% of the outlet extenders today, is that it only uses a single outlet to draw power. It does have a plastic pin (half the diameter) of the adjacent ground pin which does help stabilize the unit, but still, why not pull power from both outlets in parallel? Sure, _some_ outlets are not wired in parallel and some switched, but since you lose functionality of the other outlet anyway, why not just use it for power?
Anyway, this unit serves its purpose for me. Money (finally) well spent.

Finally I can leave all my stuff plugged in! In my bathroom I have 1 hairdryer, 2 different sized curling irons, 1 straight iron, electric toothbrush, lighted mirror, a blow styler/dryer and 2 electric outlets. No longer spending time searching for the right cords, pulling out one to plug in another. Obviously I dont use the hi-electric-use items simultaneously. But I can leave all the low-use items on all the time and simply turn on/off the blow dryer or curling irons. Its great.

Great! Just the right number of plugs and USB ports. Durable, well made, and a perfect size.

Of course if you’re going to pay $10 for this type of item I suppose you can’t expect it to last long, correct? Bought in July….plugged in my TRAVEL clothes steamer (which doesn’t surpass the wattage on anything) and it popped it dead. Won’t buy another one. Now if you’re just looking for something that won’t last beyond a couple months, go for it!!!!

I love that the USB plugs are on the top as my old outlet had them on the front and my bed pushed them down and shorted them out.
