The lights work great. The options are virtually endless. I saw several complaints that the lights were too bright / cold, I am guessing these folks did not adjust the warm / coolness in app, as I have found you can adjust from very soft white to a very bright white, as well as dim any of the colors.
I did have a challenge getting them connected to wi-fi, I ultimately ended up using the alternative pairing method, which was a bit more cumbersome (with 8 lights, 4 on 2 different switches), but did get them all connected and functioning properly. Works flawlessly with Alexa, I have one group of 4 lights in the kitchen and one group of 4 lights in the living room. I also have 2 in each group that can be independent (for instance “island light” and “corner light” in the kitchen), which allows you to control one (or more) of the lights independently of the group. For example, I can say Alexa “turn on the kitchen lights” and all of the kitchen lights will come on, or I can say Alexa “turn on the island light” and just the light over the island will come on in the kitchen.
Really my only complaint is that you cannot set a mood for all the lights in a group or multiple groups at the same time in the app, you must set each light separately. If anyone has figured out how to do this, please let me know. Although I have not figured out how to accomplish this, the cost benefit of not having to buy an expensive hub and their associated lights far outweighs, IMO…
I would highly recommend these lights to anyone looking to integrate with Alexa!

After reading all the reviews I was torn between buying or passing on them. I bought these for my wife’s birthday, for our living room where she blasts my surround sound and dances with her friends. She REALLY loves them !! She likes to party at home with her Girl friends and I know back in the 90’s chicks loved the glow of a black light in your ride and pad, so why not get her some cool lights. Set up is easy, takes about 10 min, even for a Gen X’er like me. Put them on a on off switch not a dimmer switch. Leave the switch always on so they don’t have to be re-sync’d. Your app that u downloaded is now the on/off/dimmer/color change switch which is both good and bad. Great that you don’t have to get up to turn them on or off and operate them but if she’s not home with her phone I’ve got no light, oh well. They work great!! Any color you want and very dimmable plus any white color temp you want. They can even strobe to the music you play or pulse while changing colors if u like. The app has settings that you can configure and then your custom lighting scenes are just a touch away. All in all, they are great for an entertainment room or a bed room but probably not for the rest of the house. I gave them 4 stars because if you turn off the light switch for too long some of the bulbs loose their WiFi sync, so you have to leave the switch on and always use the app for full control. It’s a small price to pay for really cool bulbs, but now you know they work great but with that one catch. Btw they have not lost sync while using the method I discussed above. Give yourself about an hour for install and exploring the apps options, because you will likely be amazed. So what are you waiting for, Buy Them!!
5/26 Update: We love the lights. Everybody loves these when they see them. We have had no problems until now. In 1 of the 4 lights the red led stopped working. Not that big of an issue and once the light goes out I’ll still buy another set to replace It and put the other one’s in my bedroom so I don’t have to get out of bed when I need to turn off the lights

Bought a six pack of these in June of 2022. One failed recently. Would not reconnect to my Wi-Fi no matter what I did. So I looked Sunco up on the internet and found customer service. The gentleman on the other end of the phone listened to my issue and then guided me through finding my order number in the Amazon app from 2022. I was not aware I could search that far back. When he found my order he offered a replacement build and no need to ship back the defective one. This level of customer service is rare these days. I will buy from them again!
As far as the bulbs go I am very happy with them. These are the BR30 smart bulb. Color temp changeable and color changeable. Dimmable. Does not make noise when dimmed. No buzzing or electrical interference like the cheaper dimmer wall switches caused in the dark ages of incandescent. We are using them in our theater room (reclaimed family room) where the previous owner installed can lighting. These are Alexa enabled and are set up with the “Smart Life” app (iPhone… might be called something else on Android). The way to set them up might be confusing to some people as I was a little challenged even with my electronics comfort level but once you get the hang of it it’s easy. The ONLY negative I can give is each bulb will individually connect to your Wi-Fi, therefore you must go to each bulb and do the initial on/off/on/off/etc motion to put it in discovery mode. We only have 6 in the theater but the up/down the step stool and screwing in/out was a pain to do six times. This is the easiest way I found to do it. At first I would screw one in only, then go to the switch and turn on/off/on/etc. then once connected I’d have to unscrew that bulb and move to the next so I didn’t put the first one back into discovery mode. So you can imagine this was a very arduous task. Until I realized I could just stand on the stool and unscrew the bulb until it went off and then screw it back in, and it really takes very little motion in the socket to get that action. So this is really the worst thing to say about it and you only have to do it once unless you change your Wi-Fi password or get a new system with a new password. They occasionally go a little nuts if the power goes on and off and on and off as it sometimes does where I live, but I can’t say that I had to continuously reconnect them to my Wi-Fi at any point after these power fluctuations. We set the mood with scenes in the “Smart Life” app or with Alexa routines whether it be movie time, or frisky time or reading time or computer time (just the three in the back by the workstation with simple phrases through Alexa or a button press in smart life. All the bulbs have performed as expected! “Holodeck On” and “Holodeck lights 1%” are some of our phrases. Lol. But I digress…. These bulbs are worth the price and even moreso since the company is there and real and reachable! I mean… no waiting for long periods for a real person. Nuff said
