I bought this for my son and his electric scooter. This model was a bit heavier and bigger than I imagined, but for short term security, it’s great. It enables him to run into a store for a minute or two. And I like this better than a U-lock because its flexibility allows it to be wrapped around objects of different sizes. It’s not cheap, but I’m happy with it.

Going on year three with this foldilock. Read about it first, decided it was the right balance of security for me.

Really love the key lock which is a little different and less likely to be picked. Fits so easily on bike, folds compact into it’s holder, hard to tell it’s even there, I get comments on how cool it is. Make sure to check that the holder is tight enough every now and then. I once hit a pothole and the whole damn thing flew off. Not a big deal that one time, but depending on what you’re doing if it gets loose on you and you take lots of big shakes it could be a thing.

It is noticeably heavy but manageable. I carry my bike just the same even with it mounted. Can wrap around wide items for locking. Pay attention to tips online on how to use it safely and decrease opportunities for people to compromise it. A popular tester on YouTube put it through a lot and it performed quite well.

I was looking for a folding lock so I could have more options to lock my bike up, like around a lamp-post or tree, so I wanted the biggest one I could find (110cm), well-constructed mechanism, and the most secure. This Foldylock fits the bill on all counts!

I’ve owned many locks over my 40+ years of riding, and nothing compares to this lock. It’s so well constructed, as I could tell the first time I used it. The key slides in smoothly and the lock opens and closes with no resistance. At that point I knew this was a well-built lock.

The size of it allows me to lock up to almost anything, or I can lock up 2 bikes to any bike rack. And the very high security ratings this lock garners gives me all the confidence in the world that it won’t be broken.

The only downside is it’s very heavy (4.2lbs), but after much research, I realized the more secure a lock is, the heavier it is. That’s just the reality of it. So I chose security over lightness. If a light lock is what you need, this isn’t the lock for you. If you still want your bike there when you get back, this is the lock for you.

This lock is definitely on the heavier side and a bit pricey, but it feels super solid and reliable. You can tell it’s built to last and gives real peace of mind when leaving your bike in public places. The folding design is compact and easy to mount on the frame, which is a nice touch.

If you’re okay with a little extra weight for better security, this lock is totally worth it. It feels like it would seriously slow down any thief!

This bike lock performs just as well as others which can be almost twice the price. I use my electric bike to commute to work and have greatly appreciated this lock. Ive used it for two years and it has held up well! No rusting or jamming everything works as it did on day one! My bike and the lock were stored indoors when at home.
My one complaint is that the rubber clip that secures the lock case has broken. So I can still store my bike lock in the case, but it’s not as secure as it was with the rubber clip. That was after almost two years of daily use though!
I would buy this lock for another bike in a heart beat!
