I needed a new floodlight to replace one that had been damaged by water ingress and opted for this, which has the added bonus of also being a CCTV camera. Another reason for opting for an AOSU brand device was that I already have their front doorbell and so could use both from the same phone app. With the wiring already in place from the old floodlight, installation was an absolute breeze if you have some basic wiring skills, like I do. Setup was also very easy and it as log as you follow the included instructions, it is fairly fool proof to connect to your network and phone app.
Once its up and running, its fairly easy to configure to your preferences and fine tune so you don’t get unnecessary notifications or false positives. We have a cat and the camera is ‘smart’ enough to distinguish her from other potential intruders. I understand that if you opt to make use of the subscription service, there are more AI features that will make the camera even smarter, such as facial recognition to distinguish family members but one of my reasons for opting to buy an AOSU device was that subscriptions aren’t a must and you can use the device without one. I’m actually happy with the pet detection, auto roam and the follow target functions that can be used without the need for subscription.
In terms of quality, at 3K resolution this camera is more than adequate for our needs and is very clear during daytime and good during night when the infa-red mode kicks in. I’ve used the app numerous times from remote locations and for the most part it performs very well and have not been overly affected by any lags other other performance issues. The device will automatically switch from HD to SD mode if it detects network slowdowns and whilst night time images will look a little grainier, for the most part, this works rather well.
All in all, I’ve been very impressed by this camera which feels like its very well made and performs very well. In fact, it has actually exceeded my expectations.

I recently purchased the AOSU Wireless Outdoor Security System, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Let me share my experience:
Image Quality: The camera quality is exceptional. The images are clear, even in challenging lighting conditions. Whether it’s daytime or nighttime, the AOSU cameras capture every detail.
Wire-Free Installation: The wire-free setup is a game-changer. No messy cables to deal with! Just mount the cameras where you need them, and you’re good to go. It’s hassle-free and convenient.
Responsive Support Service: AOSU’s customer support team deserves a special mention. They are incredibly responsive. Whenever I had questions or needed assistance, they were quick to address my concerns. Their courteous and professional approach impressed me.
Above and Beyond: What sets AOSU apart is their commitment to going above and beyond. They genuinely care about their customers. Whether it’s troubleshooting, setup guidance, or any other issue, they’ve got your back.
Weatherproof and Durable: The cameras have an IP67 rating, making them weatherproof. Rain or shine, they continue to function flawlessly. I appreciate the peace of mind knowing they can withstand outdoor conditions.
In summary, if you’re looking for a reliable security system with top-notch quality and outstanding support, I highly recommend the AOSU Wireless Outdoor Security System. It’s a solid investment for your safety and peace of mind.

I have tried several security cameras that are available online. This camera, is my absolute favorite. The video is really good. You can zoom in to see things easier. You can go into settings to adjust the lights so they are not extremely bright or set them to low. There is a siren feature, in the event you want that feature. Instead of using the cloud to save alerts, you can use a micro sd card. There are a lot of other features also. It is fairly easy to install. It is hard wired, it is not the solar version . I like the fact that I can see the whole area on the side of my home or the back of my home. You can see from the left side of the house siding to the right side of the house siding, it’s a full view. The video is excellent. I highly recommend this product because I have purchased two so far and I feel the value for my money with this camera was very well spent . The app works well. It’s easy to contact customer service through the app to chat, or there is a telephone number you can contact. The customer service agent Nicole knows her job very well and I appreciated her help very much . I can also say that if I ever had a question with this company, I was answered in a short period of time.

I am writing this review sometime after purchasing this device. I recently extended my house and needed cameras to monitor the far reaches of my property so after a lot of research, I settled on this camera and purchased two of them. I loved the cameras from the get go. The setup was a breeze and very intuitive. The app was easy to use and configure and made sharing of the camera with members of the household very quick.
The resolution is very good and so is the ability to monitor in all kinds of weather conditions (yet to test out snowy winters but so far so good with lots of rain, winds, hot and cold). Motion detection is solid and so is the connectivity. The closest access point is quite far and on the inside of the structure yet I get uninterrupted surveillance. I am setup with local storage (using a 128GB SD card which gives me plenty of storage) and can always go back and look at saved events which is great.
All of the above is great stuff. But here’s the cherry on top. About a month or so ago, one of the cameras suddenly stopped working. I am not quite sure why but I was afraid that I had just spent a decent amount of money on a hardwired camera which was no unresponsive and my Amazon return window had also expired. I decided to reach out to Aosu’s customer service via their app. This is where I was blown away by them. Julie from the support team was of the company was very responsive! She began walking me through troubleshooting steps right away over chat. After trying several steps and determining that the camera had just stopped working, she assured me that Aosu will not leave me in a lurch.
They continued to stay in touch with me via email and provided me timely updates on the status of my replacement device which arrived soon thereafter. I was able to install it and was up and running again. Although the untimely demise of the device was a cause of concern, but the confidence the customer service instilled in me has encouraged me to not shy away from doing business with Aosu again. Thank you Aosu and thank you Juile for great customer service and a great product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I’ve been replacing my old Nest cameras ever since Google decided to stop supporting their security system, which was super frustrating after spending all that money on it. A buddy told me about AOSU, so I gave a few of their cams a shot. This one is the wired outdoor floodlight version, and overall, it’s been a solid choice.
Install was easy. It even came with an install hook that made doing it solo pretty painless. The camera looks good, works well, and has solid video quality. I’m using a 128GB SD card so it records locally, which I like way better than the constant streaming Nest used to do. No real network slowdown, and I can still check live video anytime I need to.
The motion tracking is smooth, and the sound quality is surprisingly clear. I think this floodlight version actually has slightly better motion detection options than the others. You can set motion sensing for the light to specific zones (like between 7 and 10 o’clock, 10 to 2, and 2 to 4), and adjust the sensitivity on a 1 to 5 scale. That’s a nice touch, especially if you’ve got a weirdly shaped driveway or yard like I do.
That said, I still get a lot of alerts. It’s picking up cars on the street, bugs flying by, probably even shadows sometimes. My phone was going off every 2 or 3 minutes for a while there until I just turned off the notifications completely. I really wish you could set more detailed zones or use geofencing, like Nest used to have. Right now it’s kinda all or nothing.
AOSU keeps pushing the subscription, but I haven’t seen any loss of functionality using just the SD card. Their subscription is per device, which adds up. I think it’s around $7 a month for each cam or $27 per month for five. I passed on that and haven’t missed anything important to my knowledge.
All in all, this is a good option for outdoor security, especially if you want to skip the monthly fees. Just be ready to dig into the settings, and maybe turn off notifications unless you want your phone blowing up nonstop.

Innert Sekunden weiss man dann, was los ist.
