I must say that as a laptop for internet surfing, for using Office applications and for listening to music / streaming this is an amazing laptop. By no means is high power, but feels smooth enough for the operations mentioned earlier. It is very easy to setup, just turn it on and follow the prompts and your account will be created. It comes with the S version of Windows which doesn’t allow you to install apps outside of the Microsoft store but it can easily be disabled to use the regular Windows. It is very lightweight but yet it feels durable. The screen quality is not bad at all and is pleasant enough to look at videos or even do light image editing. Speakers are not that bad, you can definitely use them to play some music while you are working, they will provide a good enough quality. This laptop is intent ended to be used with Co-Pilot so you have a dedicated button for it. The only downside that can be easily fix is that it comes with a 128 GB NVMe that you could easily replace with a 512GB / 1 TB if you want extra storage. Apart from that the laptop feels very fluid, doesn’t lags, so far no overheating issues and I think that for the money is a good productivity laptop. Definitely recommended.

If you want this for web surfing – 5 stars, great price!
If you want it for anything else…. look elsewhere – a dedicated Copilot button means it’s AI Ready???
My 4 Star rating is based on the whole package, performance, experience and claims and NOT based on AI performance.

    TL/DR:
Overall, this is a lightweight, decent everyday laptop for very basic tasks—but if you were expecting anything AI-related or even moderate performance, you’ll probably be disappointed. I’d liken this to a “Netbook” or a “Chomebook”, but ACER makes quality products and while performance of this is underwhelming for anything other than web surfing or YouTube, the quality is good as expected from an ACER product. If you are looking for an efficient, affordable web surfing laptop, this is a great buy!

What it’s actually good for: web browsing, streaming YouTube, and very light tasks. Don’t expect to multitask with multiple browser tabs or run anything AI-related. Windows 11 Home “S” mode further limits usability by restricting app installations to the Microsoft Store. You can, however, switch of out “S” Mode (Security mode) so that you can install non Microsoft store apps but, given the RAM and SSD Storage space, you wont get very far. What i do not know is if you can upgrade the RAM and SSD, if able to, it would make this device much more functional and appealing.

    Pros:
    Lightweight and portable
    Power-efficient
Good screen quality -15″ 1080p IPS screen is bright and vibrant
CPU is punchy for light tasks when unburdened
    Wi-Fi connectivity is reliable with a 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band adapter at 1×1 MU-MIMO, sufficient for this device
Modern Connectivity, decent amount of connectivity options:
    Bluetooth 5.1
720P webcam is adequate on a budget laptop
USB 3.2., HDMI 2.1, and analog headphone jacks for flexible connectivity
Keyboard is comfortable and generally quite; touchpad is smooth and fluid movement
Battery life seems pretty good and with the 15W CPU should last for many hours of web surfing and light YouTube usage.
Minimal bloatware, easily removable Acer specific software

    Cons:
Misleading marketing??? “AI Ready” The Ryzen 3 7320U does not contain a NPU, is 15W and is 5+ years old!
Only 8GB RAM, which is easily bogged down
128GB SSD fills up quickly, limiting app installs
Windows 11 Home “S” restricts app installation to Microsoft Store Apps ONLY!
CPU is outdated (Zen 2, 2019), feels underpowered for modern tasks, most likely due to limited 8GB RAM
Integrated GPU is only suitable for basic browser games
    Limited multitasking capabilities

I have NOT tested Copilot so i did not factor that into this review, though, the title “AI Ready” is probably bit of a stretch. After researching, I discovered the AMD Ryzen 3 7320U is a 5+ year-old Zen 2 architecture from 2019, long before AI workloads were mainstream, and lacks the specific AI processing hardware found in newer Ryzen processors, specifically a NPU. There’s no reference to a NPU in any documentation i have found, and the CPU/GPU alone simply can’t reach the required TOPs to support AI features like Copilot (requires 40 TOPs), in fact, there is no mention of how many TOPs this laptop has.
Additionally, the laptop is equipped with barely enough memory to support Windows, AI relies heavily on RAM, which the laptop severely lacks

I wasn’t really expecting a whole lot from a $300 plus laptop running an older AMD Ryzen chip and limited memory, both RAM and storage. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We currently have 3 computers in our home, a gaming pc, older desktop ( which I have upgraded a couple of times) and a Lenovo Legion gaming laptop. I know that comparing it to those computers is not fair, but will use them as my base. The Acer is a thin, lightweight laptop. It is so light I questioned whether it had a battery in it, it does. It has a nice selection of USB ports, 2 USB A 3.2 and 2 USB C 3.2 as well as an HDMI port and headset jack. There is no LAN port, but I did use a cable that supplied power and an Ethernet connection to a USB C port and it worked just fine. The screen is 15″ and has a nice crisp 1080 display. It has dual band WiFi 6 capability and supports Bluetooth 5.1 and above. I am not going to go into CPU specs since they have listed those specs and other reviewers have touched on that. The RAM and storage could be better, but it is a bit of a budget laptop and increases there would increase the cost as well. It comes with Windows 11 running in S mode. I ran it for a couple of days in S mode and was okay. You are limited to using the Edge browser and Microsoft store however. I disabled S mode, which is a permanent change, since I use Google play store and other browsers. It ran well, it booted up quickly and was pretty snappy overall. Great for surfing, YouTube videos and other day to day uses. I installed Steam and ran Batman Arkham Origins to see how it would handle it. I realize it is an older game but didn’t want to install something that would take up all the available storage. It actually ran pretty well. Frame rate was decent and it didn’t lag or hang. I may try something else a little more demanding in the future. If I do I will post and update. All in all I found it to be a good value for the money, the graphics are nice and the battery performed well. Acer makes good quality products and even though this is a budget model it still has that Acer quality and feel to it. I was really pleased overall with it and think it is a good choice for those wanting a decent laptop at a reasonable price. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

DO NOT BUY ACER. Died within 40 days of purchase, Acer would not cover under warranty. This is the second Acer laptop this happened to.
