Excellent quality. Still not sure how to get the whammy to work with clone hero. But I won’t knock CRKD for that. The guitar feels amazing. Buttons are great. Strummer. Tons of compatibility. I like the app for customizing it. And I love the blueberry look. Easily my favourite guitar I own now. Highly recommended !!

This guitar is really nice! I struggled a bit to get the wireless adapter out of the guitar. After figuring it out, you can’t push on the top of the cover. My recommendation is take a credit card and just push on the edge and push it toward the white joystick. It popped right off with little force.
The app is very nice and I enjoy being able to change setting on the fly. Strum haptics are a bit weird at first, but now I play with them on the max setting. I also made the strum bar more sensitive. Tilt settings are very nice and easily changeable. Everything can be changed by the press of a button and an app.
Overall, this guitar is certainly worth the money. You dont have to find adapters, cords, or worry about updating an older guitar. This is play and play. Can’t ask for much more.

Works perfectly on PC for Clone Hero. You don’t have to install any drivers or do anything special to get it working, you can just use the cable that came with the controller, plug it directly into your computer, and start using it immediately. The quality feels solid, it’s responsive and looks good. My only minor complaint is the wireless dongle is in a small compartment on the body of the controller, but the compartment is rather difficult to open. I only wanted to use the cable anyways, so it’s no issue for me. Other than that, this is definitely an A++ controller!
Note: I did have an issue with my first controller where one of the fret buttons was sticking. It felt like there was some resistance on the top half of the button that sometimes prevented my game from recognizing I had pressed the button because it didn’t press down all the way. This started to occur after about 2/3 weeks of using it. HOWEVER, I reached out to CRKD support on their website and we worked out a resolution in less than 24 hours! I was able to get a replacement and haven’t encountered that issue again. Incredible support team for an incredible product!

Love this controller. It has been more or less plug and play to use with my PC and clone hero (minor setup in the app to tune your preferences). So much more comfortable than the old Kramer PS2 guitar controller I had been using, I notice significantly less issues with my left wrist using this controller. Love the mechanical frets and the adjustability of the haptics on the strum bar. If you are a guitar-based rhythm game enjoyer, this controller is an EXCELLENT UPGRADE.

This thing is crazy, so many features is like an old guitar hero controller on crack. The haptic feedback on the strum bar is so cool, nice and quiet yet you still feel the strum really cool feature. And I love the necks rgb and the blueberry burst paint is awesome looks so good. The key jam feature badass and convenient. Build quality is great CRKD killed it with this one

Was a bit disappointed the ship date was pushed back a few weeks, but ultimately was well worth the wait. This thing is absolutely perfect in every way. Easy connection to PC for Festival/Clone Hero. Has dials with presets for each mode, the key jam mode allows to freely act as a controller on pc, the mechanical frets feel amazing, and to my surprise, the only think I was skeptical on was the strum bar being haptic feedback HE, but it feel amazing. Absolutely love this guitar and you will too. Price is also not horrible, especially in comparison to the used mid 2000s guitar market. You’re getting about brand new, technologically advanced guitar that feels super premium.

I have the pro multi platform one.
The frets are amazing. Feel good to press and have a really low travel distance so I can be really precise when hitting solos.
The strum bar I am getting used to. It does feel amazing but I Wonder if the tribal one feels better. Since the feedback happens on the software side, it can feel a bit delayed sometimes. Does not get in the way of me enjoying the game in any way. I usually miss with the RB style guitars when playing with headphones due to the lack of feedback but it does not happen with this.
I’ve played RB4 on a PS5 without any issues (altho remember that legacy instruments don’t support tilt on RB4) and on PC with GH3. The xinput mode is not compatible with pc out of the box as you just need to download a dll file. But they are adding support for native Xinput in the near future so I’d fully recommend this.
I’ll be getting rid of my arduino guitars as this really seems like the ultimate deal.
I’ll be getting the black encore edition too so I can compare. Maybe the best combination is the tribal body with the mech frets of the pro.

I was big into the guitar hero series during its hayday. I remember running to the store in college to buy a PS2 just so I could play Guitar Hero after trying my roommate’s copy. This guitar controller feels very reminiscent of those original controllers. The build quality feels solid, it’s comfortable to play and the customizable options are great. My only complaint is that the fret buttons feel a bit mushy, there’s not a lot of travel with them, but that’s probably something that I’ll get used to. The haptic feedback in the strum bar is also a bit different, but it feels fine once you start playing. I’ve only played on PC so far, YARG connects to it just fine as an “Xbox input controller” and you can map the buttons from there. If you’re a fan of the OG guitar hero guitars, this is the re-release you’ve been looking for.
