I got this controller after the trigger on my old one broke. This one has a lot of available color schemes that all look good, and I chose the mint/orange. The buttons are all clicky, except for the trigger buttons that are just linear. The D-pad importantly isn’t mushy like some other controllers, and it provides a nice tactile feel when pressed. The controller has good, strong rumble. The outer shell feels decent and not cheap and hollow like my old controller, and the joysticks have nice grips. The size is a bit smaller though, about the size of a Switch Pro controller joystick grip. I was decently surprised by the metal connecting the joysticks to the body of the controller, which looks high-quality. The 2.4G connector has no latency when I connect it to my PC, but I haven’t tried it on my Switch or on Bluetooth mode. Overall, a great product!

Amazing controller. So much better than my standard Xbox SX controller. The hall effect sticks are smooth and it feels great in the hand, although it feels a hair smaller than the Xbox. I love the Wukong design a lot, i think its the best design 8bitdo has over all their controllers and I wish they offered it in the ultimate 2 – I would buy it instantly. Also, this was only 30 bucks which is HALF what an xbox controller costs. I’ve been through 5 xbox controllers in roughly 7 years because they always get stick drift or the bumper buttons stop working.
I love this controller. I lent it to my cousin and then he went on a trip and never gave it back. I miss it so much 🙁

Decent controller and excellent for its price. I have a lot of controllers for my pc and have been testing them out from this controller to the EasySMX 15 and D10x, the Vader 4 pro, and Cyclone 2. It’s lightweight but does feel a bit cheap however for its price point that is negligible. I tested this controller by going through the White Palace in Hollow Knight which was my test for feel and button responsiveness. It was pretty good and it was responsive enough that I was able to pass the level without any headache due to input delay and misclicks. It has 2 extra buttons being the L4 and R4 positioned right under the shoulder buttons
Some turn offs:
-I have smaller hands so the ergonomics wasn’t that problematic but for someone with bigger hands it might be an issue.
-Cheap plastic casing that really does feel cheap.
-Very clicky shoulder buttons. Some of the loudest clicks I’ve heard from a controller. If this is a problem for you then I suggest maybe looking at another controller.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the controller, especially given the great price. It works right of the box on Windows with the included 2.4GHz dongle. In addition, it has a built-in rechargeable battery, so no need to swap them out. Just use the included cable to charge the remote
Amazon Customer –
I’m extremely satisfied with the ones I got; they feel very high quality, yet they aren’t heavy or bulky. Perfect for small to medium sized hands and they will feel familiar to anyone who used an Xbox controller before.
Connectivity is simple using both the included dongle or Bluetooth, the battery lasts for an incredibly long time, and they charge fast and using USB-C. The thumb sticks are extremely precise and have basically no deadzone and no drift. The triggers have a shorter throw than I would prefer but they feel very nice as well. The rest of the buttons have a very snappy and satisfying feeling. I can’t evaluate the d-pad as I don’t play many games that are heavily focused on it. The vibration motors are also very tight feeling and strong.
As for negatives, I don’t have much to say, and especially not any that would offset the positives. That’s not even considering the aggressive pricing compared to other controllers. I’m very satisfied and already pondering buying yet a few more. If I had to point out something negative it would be how poorly communicated the extra features are. There’s basically no documentation included either in the box or on the website itself. In fact, a few features from older models (like 0 deadzone setting) are present but you wouldn’t know unless you actually looked online for how to activate them. The software could be more comprehensive.
Casual Reviews –
I recently purchased the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller for use with my Windows PC and Android devices, and I am thoroughly impressed.
Design and Build Quality
The controller has a sleek and ergonomic design that feels comfortable during extended gaming sessions. The matte finish provides a good grip, and the build quality is solid, giving it a premium feel despite its affordable price.
Performance
The 1000Hz polling rate ensures ultra-responsive input, which is noticeable in fast-paced games. The Hall Effect joysticks and triggers offer precise control and are a significant upgrade over traditional potentiometer-based inputs. The remappable L4/R4 bumpers add versatility, allowing for customized control schemes without the need for additional software.
Compatibility and Connectivity
Connecting the controller to both my PC and Android phone was straightforward. The 2.4G wireless connection is stable, and switching between devices is seamless. The inclusion of a mode switch button simplifies toggling between platforms.
Battery Life
The battery life is impressive, lasting several days of regular use on a single charge. This longevity makes it a reliable companion for both casual and extended gaming sessions.
Conclusion
Overall, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller offers exceptional value for its price. Its combination of high-end features, solid build quality, and cross-platform compatibility makes it an excellent choice for gamers looking for a versatile and reliable controller. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a quality gamepad for PC and Android gaming.

So after playing for about 6 hours my initial thoughts are, “this is $26!?”. Excellent quality very similar to other 8BitDo products. Feels the same as the Ultimate C Wired Controller For Xbox. The dongle works with the MagicNS for switch, blu-tooth connected and stayed connected without issues. The extra R and L buttons don’t get in the way but are great for something like quick saving and loading or fast forward and rewind on emulators. The basic button commands to turn on “Turbo” or “Auto-Turbo” modes work pretty intuitively. Overall this is just a damn well made “budget” controller.

Been an 8BitDo guy since like 2021 when I wanted something better for SSBU than the GC controller (sorry Melee people), since then it just seems like they get better and better and cost less than before.
For $30, this was an absolute steal – not sure why the Wukong collectable Ultimate C2 is only $30, but I’m not asking questions. I legit thought it was only wireless and not also Bluetooth (2.4ghz only), turns out it’s BT and 2.4hz and wired.
It has hall-effect sticks which – if you know, you know. Everything feels good, buttons feel nice, and the software is incredible if you’re into adjusting deadzones and stuff like that. I’m playing Borderlands 4 on it and actually strongly prefer it over MnK, which is a first for any FPS game I’ve played since learning MnK.
Best controllers on the market – if you’re on the fence, probably better to get one now than risk paying way more for obvious reasons really really soon.
Love 8bitDo, makes me sound like a shill.

Love this controller. It feels good to hold, it looks good and functions as expected. Being able to switch between wired, 2.4ghz and Bluetooth makes it perfect, because I can leave to 2.4ghz dongle in my PC at home, since it doesn’t have Bluetooth, and I can toss it in my laptop bag without worry about needing the dongle, since my laptop does have Bluetooth, and I can always fall back on the cord if need be.

I wanted a controller that I could simply plug and play without the hassle of pairing or configuring. This controller fits that bill: just plug in the USB-A dongle, and it works out of the box. It also supports Bluetooth if your device does not have a USB-A port, and the battery lasts for several days—charging via a USB-C port.
This controller offers great value for the money; however, I do have some complaints.
The extra buttons are a bit of a hassle if you want to configure them—they function more as macro buttons that you can program to simulate other functions rather than as additional buttons. Also, when using the USB dongle, there’s no way to determine how much battery life remains. Finally, the controller sometimes sends a ghost signal: the menu button (the equivalent of the Xbox or PlayStation button) is activated even when no buttons are pressed, bringing up the game menu. This could be problematic during a multiplayer game that does not pause when the menu appears.
Otherwise, the controller works well, is comfortable to use, and works great with the SteamDeck!
