Bad adherence to the USB standard. This works on some devices, but not others. It will charge some of our phones, but not others. It won’t charge one of our laptops. It won’t charge my bicycle headlight. All of our devices charge fine with all of our other USB-C chargers. I understand it’s Lenovo branded, but the reason for standards is that they work everywhere. The product page lists a range of USB Power Delivery voltages and current ratings, implying that it will correctly work with lower powered devices, but it frequently doesn’t.
This was supposed to be a charger for a second location that could be used as a general charger when the laptop wasn’t plugged in, but it fails to adhere to USB charging standards. If you’re lucky, this will charge the devices you want it to. If you’re unlucky, this is nothing but e-waste.
