Everything works perfect. LAN, HDMI out, USB ports, and keeps it charged just fine even using a Switch power adapter. Highly recommended.

The JSAUX Docking Station has proven to be an exceptional addition to my setup, accommodating my Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and work laptop with ease. I have absolutely no complaints about this versatile docking station and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable solution. Allow me to share my experience and highlight its notable features.

First and foremost, the build quality of this docking station is remarkable. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, providing a sense of durability and reliability. I have confidence in its ability to support and protect my devices during use.

The docking station’s Ethernet functionality deserves special mention. The connection is lightning-fast, allowing for seamless online gaming experiences and speedy downloads. Whether it’s for multiplayer sessions or streaming content, the Gigabit Ethernet ensures a stable and lag-free connection.

One of the standout features is the compatibility with both the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. This versatility is incredibly convenient, allowing me to dock and charge either device effortlessly. The docking station accommodates the unique requirements of each device, providing a seamless connection and charging solution.

I must point out that while using the docking station with my ROG Ally, I encountered a “not compatible charger” error, resulting in the device not receiving the full 30w charging profile while docked. However, after conducting thorough research, I discovered that this is likely a software issue with the Ally itself, and not a flaw in the docking station. Therefore, I don’t deduct any points from my rating for this particular compatibility hiccup.

In addition to gaming devices, I also utilize this docking station for my work laptop. The convenience of consolidating multiple cables into a single USB-C connection has been a game-changer. Previously, I had to manage five separate cables, but now, with this docking station, I enjoy a clean and clutter-free workspace. The ease of grabbing my laptop and going has been a significant time-saver.

In summary, the JSAUX Docking Station is a versatile and reliable solution that caters to the needs of Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and work laptop users. The sturdy build, lightning-fast Ethernet, and seamless compatibility make it a standout choice for docking and charging multiple devices.

While the ROG Ally compatibility issue exists, it’s important to note that this is likely a software-related matter and not a fault of the docking station itself. With this in mind, I wholeheartedly recommend the JSAUX Docking Station to anyone seeking a cleaner, more efficient setup for their devices.

Experience the convenience and simplicity of this docking station, and elevate your gaming and work experiences to new heights.

I hooked up my Steam Deck to a monitor and it’s been playing games fine with an ethernet cord connection and basically all of the USB slots plugged in. It was easy to set up and there’s not any input lag I noticed or anything. It’s cheaper than the official dock and has a lot more ports. I’m overall really happy.

After a week with this I can say it’s a pretty good alternative to the official dock that valve has released. I have tested both games and the desktop mode of the steam deck which I haven’t really had many issues aside from the Taskbar disappeared after the last update on the TV but I’m going to say that was an obvious software end problem but everything has been at the highest resolution each game can handle and desktop mode is at 4k . All the USB 3.0 ports are nice to have to plug in a keyboard and mouse especially in desktop mode all of which work great . And lastly the ethernet connection is a much needed addition to the dock as it helps speed up 60+ gig install downloads by a lot , it took me almost 4 hours over wifi to download Yakuza kiwami but with the wired connection it took only 20-30 minutes . The only gripe I have about it is the USB-C connector that connects to the steam deck itself it feels a little stiffer than the charge cable that came with the steam deck which at times makes me feel like I’m going to end up breaking the port on the steam deck. Other than that it is a great addition for your steam deck

Here’s the thing about docks: they’re all just glorified port hubs. The only difference might be how/if the ports interact with each other. Absolutely do no waste your money on the official dock. Even if you want a display port, just buy a hub with its own power cable that has the proper ports. Steam Deck does recognize hubs. Other handhelds I’m not sure about, but why wouldn’t they?

Let’s start with the two negatives:
The first is only one USB-C. The official dock suffers from this, too. Not a huge deal because of adapters, but it’s there. The second issue is the lack of a display port. Personally, I don’t care because I’m not trying to play games on my Deck at 8k. That’s what my PC is for. This Jsaux dock does cap out at 60Hz on 4k. With a display port the Deck is capable of 60Hz at 8k or 120Hz at 4k. If you don’t have a TV or monitor capable of 8k, then the lack of a display port shouldn’t even be a problem.

    Now the positives:
The Jsaux dock is compatible with my steam deck, samsung phone, and it even works with my Lenovo tablet.

It is made out of metal. The USB-C portion that plugs into your device has metal surrounding the angled bit, as well. So far, all the ports have worked. I have used both a Bluetooth and wired controller without issue. Also, the wired controller will charge while plugged into the dock. I have used Bluetooth headphones while docked. I imagine wired headphones would work fine. I have not tested the gigabit ethernet port.

There is plenty of anti-slip strength on the underside and the topside where your device rests. Because of the metal construction, the dock has a satisfying weight to it which adds to the effectiveness of the anti-slip pads.

At literally half the price of the official dock, this thing was an easy purchase for me.
