Amazon Customer –
Great cable and worked as expected connecting my phone to my car for Android Auto.

Bought this for my Android Auto feature in my 2019 Subaru Forester. Connected immediately. The cord is really nice. Bendable and soft material. Comes with a snap wrap to keep the cord beat and organized too.

I wanted a black, braided cable to blend into my car interior. It is well made and works great, but it’s definitely grey. Oh well. If the cable itself was actually black I would rate 5 stars.

I didn’t realize I could use CarPlay with a cable – I’d been experimenting with Bluetooth devices when I found out.
Bluetooth options are all well and good, but they still take up your USB port, and you can’t charge your phone with them, at least as far as I’ve seen. A lot of them have cables, too. To charge your phone, you need an additional port, possibly through the use of an adapter for the cigarette lighter (which couldn’t be used for CarPlay).
Bluetooth options also have the disadvantage of latency – e.g., pause or stop what you’re listening to, and be prepared to wait a few seconds for it to actually stop.
This cable charges my phone while connecting it to CarPlay, and it has basically no latency (a split second, sometimes?). It’s a really good cable – obviously well-built, nice and floppy, with a rubber/silicone cable tie.
Oddly, I’ve found that no matter what I use, the car often doesn’t transfer the display to CarPlay when I first start the car; it gives control to the device as far as audio is concerned, but not always video. Fortunately, this cable does update my car’s native display to include an icon for CarPlay, which fixes that right up; my first Bluetooth one had to be unplugged and plugged back in.
I really like my last Bluetooth CarPlay adapter, but I think I’ll still use this cable instead, mainly because latency drives me nuts. If you want a good, inexpensive alternative for CarPlay, I really recommend this one.

A 5 star product no doubt!
Everything I’ve ever purchased from Anker is always high quality and reliable with modern styling in all of the products they sell..
VNR –
Excellent quality, and CarPlay won’t disconnect like regular cables. Soft and won’t tangle.
Steven Strohmaier –
Simple short cable that perfectly works from where you need to go from USB-A to USB-C.

I recently updated from iphone 11 to a 16. I was using Carplay in my Equinox all the time until my new phone. The cords I had would charge my phone but not connect the maps on my screen in the car. After reading up on it, I got this cord to connect my 16 to carplay. It worked right away!!!! The cords is flexible and durable enough. So excited to use my carplay maps again!!

I’m no cable connoisseur, but the moment I touched this Anker CarPlay cable, I knew it was a step above the spaghetti pile under my desk. It’s supple, flexible, and even comes with a handy built-in cable tie—perfect for those of us who hate wrestling with tangled cords or losing them in the abyss of the glove box.
The real test? Connecting my iPhone 16 Pro Max to my CarPlay-enabled ride. Spoiler alert: it nailed it. No hiccups, no slow charging drama, just smooth sailing and a solid connection every time.
The cable tie and bendy design are the unsung heroes here—making life easier and cables less likely to go rogue.
Now, if you’re a serial cable-loser, maybe stick to the bargain bins. But if you want something that feels premium, performs reliably, and won’t leave you cursing on your morning commute, this Anker cable deserves a spot in your tech arsenal.
