Kids loved them, they said they give these sets “10,000 out of 10.”. The quality when pictures have automatic flash is meh, but I wouldn’t take a star from the review because instant print camera pictures aren’t supposed to provide 100% perfect shots, and if you don’t love that part of it, maybe you should get the printer instead. Great way to capture memories with style, love the simple and sleek design; very happy with the purchase and would recommend to get this for a person of any age.

I was really excited to try out the Kodak Printomatic camera, especially since I expected decent instant prints from a reputable brand. Unfortunately, this product was a huge disappointment from start to finish.
The print quality is shockingly bad — photos come out with dull, washed-out colors and are often blurry. The images have smudges, streaks, and sometimes even partial prints. It’s frustrating because the whole point of an instant camera is to get fun, vibrant prints on the spot, but this camera consistently fails at that.
The camera itself feels cheap and flimsy, with poor build quality. It struggles in anything but perfect lighting, and the flash doesn’t do much to improve the results. Focusing is hit-or-miss, and many pictures come out grainy or out of focus.
For the price, I expected way better performance and quality. Instead, I got a frustrating experience that felt like a gimmick rather than a useful camera. If you want instant prints that look good or a camera you can rely on, this is definitely not the one.
Save your money and look elsewhere. I regret this purchase and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I think this camera gets the job done if you don’t like the price or bulk of a Polaroid or Instax camera. It overexposes really easily in the sun, and half the time, the picture doesn’t come out quite right. For example, it’ll often have pink lines running through it and won’t print all the way to the edge of the film. But again, the camera and the refills are much more affordable than that of the Instax cameras, and it’s provided me with memories that I can keep in my notebook and wallet. If you really care about the quality of the prints though, maybe look elsewhere.

Love this camera! It’s very easy to use. It doesn’t come charged, so if you’re having trouble with it, plug it in (hold the power button to turn it on). There are three lights on the bottom left: battery, printing, and SD card. If the battery is white, it’s fine to use, if printing is white, it’s printing, and if SD card is red there’s no micro SD (white means there is). The pictures it takes are super cute and very fun, but don’t buy this if you’re expecting iPhone or other camera quality pictures. They’re different than polaroid prints, but are very similar quality to cameras from the early 2000s/2010s or so. You can see everything but it’s not going to be super vivid and the color will be a little off. Also, try to take pictures in light, but as you can see in the last photo, the camera won’t always adjust to super bright light like another camera would.
I bought this as the used (like new description) and it was in perfect condition. The box had a slight mark but had never been opened. This product comes with 10 sheets of paper, but if you’re looking to buy more, amazon has HP Zink 2×3 sticky back paper that is cheaper than the Kodak brand of the same exact thing, and works just as well. Really no difference, just a few dollars more.
Last thing: in the instruction manual it comes with, the black and white vs color switch instructions seem to be slightly wrong. If you can see the three colorful dots, your photo will come out in color. If the dots are grey and black, it’ll be black and white. The manual seemed to reverse this, so I figured I’d mention it. 🙂

It’s not the highest quality but it’s nice for what it is, definitely light sensitive so be weary of that but the prints come out nice. It’s a good size, able to fit in a purse or a sweater pocket and definitely I like using it when I can.

Got this for our daughters birthday. She is 4. She loves to take pictures with this as it gives her some understanding that she has a finite set of pictures she can take and they should be important when she clicks the button. She has gone through a few picture packets and has taken some really cool pictures. The picture quality is good for this device and you can make out most of the detail but don’t expect it be super detailed. Who cares it’s a kids camera and it’s durable, looks and feels cool, easy to learn and operate by a 4 year old and when she is playing with it she really does not need a lot of adult supervision. So far this device works great and she loves it!
