Ottima Dashcam per quanto riguarda la qualità costruttiva e la qualità delle immagini. L’unico aspetto da tenere presente è l’angolo di ripresa della telecamera posteriore. E’ dichiarato l’angolo orizzontale (140 gradi) ma non quello verticale. Dovendola installare su un camper volevo sostituire quella precedente montata in alto. In sintesi per avere una visuale posteriore sia della strada che del retro del mezzo arriva al massimo a 2 metri di distanza dal posteriore. Sicuramente non idonea per le manovre in retromarcia . Ho montato la telecamera in basso sopra la targa, così arriva a 50 cm dal posteriore. Ho consigliato al venditore di indicare in descrizione anche l’angolo visuale verticale. Se volete montarla su un camper spero che la mia esperienza vi sia utile.

After reaching out to WOLFBOX support, they promptly sent me a replacement unit. The new dashcam connects to the app without any issues and powers on reliably with the car. I really appreciate their responsive customer service. Everything is working smoothly now!

I’ve been using the WOLFBOX G840S mirror dash cam for a couple weeks now, and for the most part, it’s been a solid addition to my car. The video quality is definitely one of the highlights—super clear during the day and still pretty decent at night. I really like the large touchscreen too; it feels modern and makes it easy to toggle between front and rear views. Installation was straightforward overall, and once it’s set up, it blends in nicely with the interior, like it was always meant to be there.

That said, I’ve run into a few issues that are worth mentioning. Sometimes the camera doesn’t turn on automatically when I start the car, and I have to unplug and replug the power to get it working again. Also, during heavy rain on the highway, the rear view gets completely obscured by mist from the tires, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a rear camera in those conditions. Another letdown has been the app—it just won’t connect. My phone picks up the Wi-Fi from the device, but the app never detects the camera, no matter what I try. It’s frustrating, especially since remote access was one of the features that drew me in. Overall, it’s a solid product with a lot of promise, but it could use a few tweaks to really live up to its potential.

This is the best dash cams I’ve owned the quality of the video and ease of use is pretty darn good. ease of installation is really dependent on the type of vehicle you own and the type of installation you want to do. Do you want all the wires neatly tucked away and hidden or do you want to use the sticky cable retention pieces that are in the box and make it easier. And obviously you can always pay a professional to install. I have three things that I would like to see improved on newer models / 2.0

1. The power button needs to have some kind of isolating rubber around it or be fixed in place. I have 2 different units and all both of them the button vibrates if the road is rough and gets picked up by the two microphones that are on both sides of the power button. The fix is just put a piece of tape over the power button not tight enough to depress it but enough to stop it from moving around. Wolfbox customer service sent me a replacement unit but it did the same thing the power button is a little loose and gets picked up by the microphones.

2. Wolfbox phone app, I have Android so I can’t speak to the experience on iOS however for some reason it doesn’t allow me to edit the video in the software it keeps saying that this function is not supported when I go to save. It also creates two file locations. one file of the video will be found in the wolfbox app, another one in my Google photos file. However I can’t access the Google photos one as it is blank and says cannot be played until I delete the one in the wolfbox app then the one in the Google photos app works fine and can be played then. If I delete the one in the Google photos app first it deletes the one in the wolfbox app kind of confusing but I figured it out. Also sometimes playback in the wolfbox app is laggy.

3. This isn’t in regards to the camera specifically but to the OEM wolfbox mounts. I have the Jeep one but reading reviews the one that attaches to the window Puck does the same thing. The plastic is pretty thin that mounts to the back of the camera unit it allows vibration into the unit and that can slightly be seen on playback.

Overall this is the best camera system I’ve used it’s really nice.. I know some of the stuff I say to the above is some nitpicks I also would like to see the 10-in have the OEM Mount support. I have a 12-in unit and in a jeep my sun visors will hit the unit because it’s so wide. I probably would have purchased the 10-in fir the jeep if it could be mounted to the OEM brackets from Wolfbox but for some reason they cannot.

I would definitely buy again I’ve already bought two of them hopefully in a revision they fixed some of the minor issues that I have come across. I also like to see the tri camera unut not be so expensive I really would have liked to get the tri bumper but not for an extra $250 and all it’s adding is one camera the front bumper. Also in closing I’ve been in contact with wolfbox customer service support. Their customer service is probably some of the best I’ve ever experienced they reply on weekends during the night during the day like they must have somebody on 24-hour customer support. They provided possible solutions to the issues. Some of the suggestions work some of them did not however the unit is still an amazing dash cam it’s aesthetically pleasing and an extremely well-functional.

The Wolfbox was easy to install. I’m glad I elected to DIY instead of paying someone. I watched a few Youtube videos and was able to install all features, ie mirror, gps and rear view camera. The most time consuming part was tucking the long cords into the interior trim but I took my time and got it done with no wires showing. I installed it into my 2005 MB SL500 with ease. I had to install the rear view camera on the interior rear window as there were limited options based on the design of my trunk. Video is of exceptional quality on the front cam and good quality on the rear cam because it is looking through glass. I found there is extreme glare in the mirror but using the settings it can be adjusted which helps. You can also adjust the rear cameras for those of you saying it displays video upside down; it’s in settings, you can flip the angle. I’m still trying to figure out how the wifi benefits me. I would have preferred blue tooth. I also downloaded the app. I have been using the mirror for about a week so still figuring out a few things but now regrets. It was money well spent. I absolutely love the screen size and park assist.
